Posting this at the request of FReeper "basil"
I have a request to make of those of you who are praying folks.
We've had a horrible accident involving 6 or our grandchildren out at our ranch. They were all piled on the 4 wheeler (as they've done many times before), tooling around off road, and somehow, the thing flipped.
Thanks be to God no one was killed, and we actually only had one of them seriously injured. She was in surgery over 7 hours today. She suffered a severe compound fracture of her lower left leg l, and they had to put a steel rod in it, and worse than that, she suffered 6 broken spinal vertebrae. Her name is Avery and she is 10 years old.
Another granddaughter who is a freshman at Texas A & M suffered what was first thought to be a separated shoulder, but again, thanks be to God, it was only displaced and the doctors were able to pop it back into place. She'll be sore for a while--but she can handle that quite easily.
The rest of the kids suffered bruises and scrapes, and a few road burns, but we are so thankful that it wasn't a lot worse.
Thanks!
Mari
Yikes! Lord, the younguns need some healing power from you. Thank you for being there for them. Thank you for saving all the children’s lives. Be with Avery and Molly as their young bodies heal quickly. Hear our prayers, Lord. Amen.
My youngest granddaughter is named Avery.
Prayers! My wife’s Aunt was killed in a 4 wheeler roll over.
Prayers for your granddaughters speedy and complete recovery.
And for you and the rest of the family for comfort during this tying time.
I pray Avery has a testimony of ‘Look what The Lord has done’! Quick recovery of body and mind for both Avery and Molly. Prayers for Basil and family for God’s peace knowing God knows ALL and what is needed for His children.
Father God, we hold up this family to you, especially young Avery, to show yourself mighty on their behalf. Please issue total restoration to Avery’s leg; let her healing serve as a testament to Your Mercy.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Basil,
Prayers for Avery and her cousin.
Google translate French => English rendition:
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. amen
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women,
Jesus and the fruit of your womb is blessed.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Thus, it is.
P.S. that is not a personal theological agreement on my part with everything here, just an English translation. It appears that Google Translate recognizes the specific religious texts and renders them in a very classic fashion right down to the thees and thous. Cool tool.
Oh my, what a horrible thing to have happen! I can’t imagine what you and your whole family are going through. My prayers are with all of you - your older granddaughter (dislocated my shoulder and I pray she never needs surgery), and most especially Avery. How frightening this must be for her!
May God keep her in his arms, and as free from pain as is possible. Also praying for her doctors that they make all the right moves on this case. Prayers for comfort and relief from the worry you all must be feeling are on their way as well.
Prayers on the way dear girl, until she is on the mend.. Bless you all..
Prayers lifted.
When you reply, please reply to basil instead of me....thanks!<<<
Why???..... you think God cant hear us?
Prayers?...consider it done!!!
A truckload of humble Prayers for those injured...
I join in earnest, urgent prayer for Avery, Molly and all the family!
Prayers lifting for Avery, Molly, and all who know and love them.
May God hold both of these children in His healing hands.

Oh so sorry!!
Will remember them before I go to bed tonight — have already said one prayer.

May God and the doctors who are his agents, along with your loving family, bring all that your granddaughters need in the way of care for a full and speedy recovery for them and the others injured.
