(Reuters) - Former U.S. first lady Barbara Bush said on Thursday that she's ready to move beyond this year's campaign season, in comments that came at an Austin conference the week after President Barack Obama's re-election.
"I'm tired now of the elections," Bush, who had endorsed Republican Mitt Romney, said at a forum on America's first ladies. "People spoke. Move on, get on with it. I want to do other things and not to be ugly."

Voting for her husband, and her son twice was what we all had to put up with, like Bob Dolt, GWB twice, Rommunie, McScream, just to try to keep the communists out. It was all we had. And, if THAT is the best the RINOs can produce, we are finished. Oh, my bad, we are already finished.
Sorry. I was so incensed that I meant to say her SON instead of husband.
She sits, rich, protected by Secret Service for the rest of her life, probably in Kennebunkport (however the hell you spell it)....oblivious to the real heartache this nation’s real Americans feel, and she tells us to “move on.”...
Bingo. None of the idiots ever stand up for themselves and allow their family to be punching bags for the left at our expense.
Screw the Arbusto’s
You can tell you’ve lost control when can no longer help but direct your rage towards inappropriate targets. You’ve lost control, and Barbara Bush is an inappropriate target.
I’m still flying my flag at Half Mast.
Bush, sporting a double strand of her signature pearls, joined former first lady Laura Bush on a panel for the Enduring Legacies of America’s First Ladies conference at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library.
The first ladies avoided offering political opinions, but Barbara Bush did issue a stern warning to both Republicans and Democrats.
“They are going to have to compromise,” said Barbara Bush, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush. “It’s not a dirty word.”

So much so wrong in so little space right there.
No she isn’t...her public comments were inappropriate to say the least. He son would have been better served to make some ‘public comments’ of his own that actually put some perspective on why he deserted his former Presidency.
If you can’t see that, then I don’t know what to tell you.
She opens her mouth, than she’s an appropriate target.
Love BB, but I’m in an ugly mood.
These are the Bushes. They have plenty of connections. They have money and could get more easily.
They were ambitious. Most politicians are. They made mistakes. Most politicians do. But I don't see any evidence of their "pimping" anyone or any thing "for their own enrichment."
What Barbara Bush is saying is that she's sick of the election and she's glad it's behind us. Most Americans probably feel the same way. There's no need to insult the woman for expressing it.
So she is one of the racists
who support Black Genocide. She should have a wonderful journey!
Then go to other things and STOP being ugly.
Correct. There are lots of non-violent ways of resisting the regime. The “pretend to be allies” method of Oskar Schindler was one way. The “work behind the scenes” method of Corrie Ten Boom was another. Sooner or later, this regime is going to fall. It is just a question of how much damage and suffering it will inflict before that happens.
Easy for her to say. She is filthy rich, protected by secret service, and is well on her way to a dirt nap, so wtf does she care for?
Mrs. Bush, your husband compromising with the Demos on taxes against his “read my lips” pledge really did him a world of good, didn’t it? I always thought the Bush family was just too happy to hear what my Demo friends say — that your husband is just a very nice gentleman for a Republican, what they don’t say is that they really liked the fact that unlike Reagan, he was almost totally ineffectual.
Shut up Babs. You and your spawn have done more than enough for us.
PS,,thanks for every Bush woman ive ever heard of being on record in favor of Obamacare.
It’s easy for her to say that.
She’s not going to be losing her job or starving so her kids/pets can have food.
Shut up, Babs.
I can’t stand her. She made some ugly remarks about Sarah Palin. Who does she think she is? Go kill some unborn babies or something Barbara.
This is the same woman who told Sarah Palin to shut up and stay in Alaska.
Forgot about that one.
I’m so sick of the entire family. I see people posting love pics of them on FB and am disgusted.
The damage GHWB and GWB have done is almost incalculable.
One gave us 8 years of clinton and the other 8 years of obama.
