Most all of us agree Main Stream Media (MSM, Old Media, the Alphabets....) was a factor in this cycle. It began with WH shill George Stephanopolous' planted debate question to Romney about contraception, and continued through the ignored tragedies in the wake of Sandy on Staten and Long Islands that Obama had supposedly healed with his 2 hour visit. Our goal is to hasten MSM demise by concentrating our efforts. Please join us.
It's difficult to turn off ALL media all the time, so let's agree to one at a time. NBC News programs are my suggestion and consensus choice of our Sunday Morning News Show thread. They're all bad, but NBC News seems the worst offender. )
We will have an affect if we concentrate our efforts rather than dilute the effort over the huge spectrum of TV News.)
We know NBC/MSNBC's ratings are weak and getting weaker across the various platforms, perhaps even extending beyond news. My goal, our goal, is to put them out of business with a final killing financial shiv. Old media proved they're not quite dead...yet. I say kill 'em.)
Start today by avoiding NBC News programs. Spend those minutes and hours elsewhere, even if it's one of the other alphabets to get the mainstream spin. (Remember fundamentals; one at a time)
The sentiments of hundreds of us on this thread are likely shared by a good portion of the FR nation. And certainly another 47% of the country share some or all of our sentiments. Simply ignore NBC News. They're irrelevant.)
Step one; A noticeable loss of numbers for NBC News will add up and be noticed. Cable and satellite digital companies certainly know who's watching what, when. If they know, advertisers know.
Lost viewership = lost impressions to advertisements = reduced sales of advertised products = loss of sponsors.
I'm hesitant to boycott commercial enterprises (the companies that advertise), but they must know they'll be wasting their money on a huge portion of their audience if they advertise on NBC News.
We'll not be exposed to your ads, and if we are, we sure as hell won't patronize them. Something's got to change. We'll start here and now.
NBC is majority owned by Comcast. If you really want to take money directly out of their pockets, and you’re a Comcast subscriber, cancel and go with a satellite provider.

Small business owners can go after them with a vengeance too. They can fire all of their liberal/MARXIST/socialist/leeching employees and hire them with productive/conservative/honest/God fearing employees.
I say throw them to the trash heap and let them suffer. Screw them.
Imagine you are a Native American 150 years ago. Imagine you complain to your tribe that the locomotives are making it possible for the Europeans to spread _their_ civilization west and _replace_ your civilization. And imagine one of your own tribe said, "Hey, buddy, if you don't like trains, just don't buy tickets and don't ride on them...”We can all choose to "not watch" -- journalists or the media in general. But we _know_ that the vast majority of people are going to be watching this garbage and it will be influencing their thinking/actions. Just as locomotives were the enabling technology (one of them) that made it possible for Europeans to replace the Indians, now media is the enabling technology (one of them) that is making it possible for our civilization to be replaced.

That is why I call them the ASM - American Soviet Media.
Correct but irrelevant. 4 years ago I tried to get freepers to drop MSM from our vocabulary in favor of my favorite "Old Media" for the reason you stated. "Mainstream" reinforced their power.
They are what they are, no matter what we call them now. I still favor Old Media and it's not too late to start. They will soon be Old Media.
Wouldn’t it be more effective to establish “trackers” to follow every TV “journalist” everywhere they go, and catch them in illicit/illegal/immoral acts and get them on audio/video? Or date them? Or intern for them as plants and record their biased activities? Why not just destroy them?
We need an RNC Chair who will go to the networks and tell them if you want to interview any of our guys, here are the ground rules, and if you don’t agree, we won’t have any of them on your program, time to start playing hardball with the media.

Obama, pelosi, axelrod, etc do not EVER appear on Rush’s show. They would refuse a debate with him as moderator.
But our team scrambles with eager wet panties to get mocked and ridiculed by every last liberal host. “thank you, Katie, may I have another?”
WE NEED TO REFUSE TO APPEAR ON THESE SHOWS TO BE MOCKED AND HAVE OUR WORDS TWISTED.

Boycotts of the media advertiSers will never work because their advertisers are so varied and they all use the same networks, including Fox. NO, we NEED to personalize it by getting names of high ranking news media presidents, and CEO,reporters, TALKING HEADS, etc. and make sure they are PAYING THEIR IRS Income Taxes, not cheating on their wives/husbands,getting drunk driving citations,, getting the full report on these traitors, and reporting it to anybody who will listen to us.
Also, boycoting won’t work, because OBOBO will just give them a bailout $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
