2012 LIVE Official Recriminations Thread I
11/7/2012 | Sam PAine

Posted on 11/07/2012 4:28:34 AM PST by sam_paine

Post your "I Told You So" Vanities here!

DON'T Start the 50-millionth Vanity thread!

Find your allies on either side:

In this corner: "Romney RINO wasn't conservative enough to really win Purple PA and Ohio!"

In the other: "The Social Conservatives scared off too many Indiots!"

We can have the bile out here and leave the other threads to sincere discussion. Then the Admins can delete this later when we're all embarrassed of what we've said.

we have officially lost the young

Think of all the ones that we ignorantly exterminated with abortifacient birth-control.

Krauthhammer basically admitted last night that the GOP are going to have to turn away from the OLD GOP and go with the younger GOP talent in the future.

Quite an admission, since he is one of the elites who has helped hoist the 'it is his turn' guys on the electorate for years.

And in the long run, where did all that fighting get the Irish?

You know.

Still, it is an excellent poem. I only encountered it a month or two ago and was struck by it immediately.

or at least clean house and get people in charge who want to take the gloves off and fight,....

this is the fault of the GOPe 1000%....

- they did not want to hit obama hard in ‘08 for fear of being branded racist and they still are afraid to attack him...

- they did nothing about the hypocrisy of the criminal liberal media in 2008 and they still have no answer for it....

- their ground game was garbage in 2008 and its gotten worse...

- they’ve done nothing to promote or develop candidates...

- they’ve got brain dead morons running the show...Reince Preibus??? give me a break....

Arguably, a lot of that can be chalked up to true-believer syndrome and confirmation bias. Throw in a little false-consensus effect, and there you go.

Add to that the inability to believe that a majority of voters would ratify the economic mess they are living in.

Obama really is "historic". Americans re-elected a socialist with their eyes wide open.

LOL! Yeah, when I first read Dick Morris saying (to paraphrase), "It's gonna be a Romney landslide!" my first thought was, so.....Obama gets re-elected then. Rule of thumb: Anything Dick Morris says, you can pretty much safely assume the exact opposite will occur. It's like money in the bank.

Here is another one of mine. The refusal of the GOP to ever concede anything on taxes for those making over $250,000.

Am I for higher taxes? Of course not. But why did our team die on the hill defending everyone making over $250,000 to the death?

We should have conceded some class warfare to the one percent in exchange for having those paying zero tax actually have to pay a couple percent a year.

I never understood why we had to keep defending people with one million a year in income to the death. I get the principal but it was horrible optics with the guy in the street. .

It’s sad but true.

What’s the solution? Because, to use an old, but accurate phrase: “How do you get the sh*t back in the horse?”

You don’t.

It’s done. Now the rate of decay will just increase.

“If it were not for Obama, some other empty chair would’ve arrived.”

If Obama were white, I still maintain he wouldn’t of won in 2008. But, yes, some other empty chair would’ve arrived.

Public school indoctrination can be handled by careful and informed parenting.

Conservatives are smart enough to do that. I’ve got kids that have gone through public school that are at least as conservative as I am. That’s because their mother and I take the time to talk with them. There’s no substitute for that.

As for the election, there were those of us here who said — from the beginning — that Romney was a horrible candidate who would have no coattails. We were called every name in the book.

When the issue that gains your party over 70 House seats just two years ago is Obamacare, nominating its grandfather for President is breathtakingly stupid.

The Republican Party was warned by its base and chose to ignore the warnings. This morning is the result. At this point, a conservative party couldn’t do any worse. The time is now to organize it. Reagan succeeded because he could bypass traditional messaging and go right to the people.

I believe his coalition can be rebuilt. But it can’t happen within the existing framework of the Republican Party.

If you have the media you can change the rest by simply showing people the truth for a change. The public is spoon fed leftist crap 24/7 and 99% don’t even know where to look for the truth.

As long as the high school graduates cannot think critically, they will never be able to discern truth from propaganda.

“We need to face it. Americans ARE stupid. Especially American women.”

Yep. However, one thing really puzzles me: Many of these idiotic American women sit with aged and malfunctioning reproductive systems, yet ABORTION seems to be the first, last and only priority in their “lives”.

Thoughts on that?

I’m not going to bash Romney on the Benghazi issue. He was getting intel briefs. Maybe his hands were tied. As far as Islam etc, if Romney had pursued this the MSM would no doubt try to associate him with the “birther” “tea bag” crowd. The MSM is the problem. I know dems who when told Obama did something by executive order will insist it was Congress. They dont even know what executive order is. The American public thinks everything is Congress’s fault....and our spineless Congress does nothing to defend itself.

Like Clinton, he’ll resurface as a GOP-e pundit/commentator after a brief ‘absence’, when the depression/anger/furor calms down. Like a bobbing turd in a toilet, he won’t flush.

I had the opportunity to walk through the "Understanding 1916" museum in Ireland. I had no idea what a gargantuan train wreck that "revolution" was.

We don’t have such a candidate on the horizon, yet. We have no “bench”, anymore. We’re over, for a couple of years, anyway. I’m up on a ledge this morning; nice view from here, though...

“Is it moral for a conservative to bring a child into this country as just another slave to the 47%?”

No it isn’t. That’s why this guy would sooner eat my own entrails than to bring a child into this country.

If you can show them the truth they will believe it as easily as the lies that they hear now. They just are not exposed because the media is corrupt.

It would be a small start if Murdoch would simply put an evening news broadcast on the FOX entertainment network to compete head-on with CBC/ABC/NBC. At least there would then be one nightly network news show with a bit of truth and scandal on it.

Well. Who should it have been that would've tipped the scales in OH, VA and/or PA?
