All that for nothing. It was the billion-dollar election that did not decide one single damned thing. Republicans control the House. Democrats control the Senate. And the White House remains in Democratic hands with absolutely no mandate whatsoever.
Another four years with no hope of change.
In this environment with this economy and all the gravely important matters pressing against the very existence of this country, it should have been a tsunami election. It should have been a landslide that sent President Obama into dust heap of failed presidencies. Instead, the election was about Big Bird.
It was the rape election. The contraception election. The binders full of women election.
It was about who was born where and whether she really could claim to be a Cherokee Indian.
It was about former president George W. Bush. And it was about gay marriage.
It was about the 1 percent and the 99 percent and the 47 percent.
It was about dancing freaking horses, for crying out loud!
Just about the only thing the election wasnt about was the economy, which everyone agrees was the only thing voters actually cared about. People tend to really care about the economy when real unemployment reaches double digits, welfare rolls fatten by one-third, politicians rack up $16 trillion in debt and the largest tax hike in the history of the world looms just weeks away. Yet that obviously is not what decided this election. Politicians were too busy talking all about Big Bird, rape and dancing horses...
--snip--
This is the Achilles heel of a democracy. Politicians simply tax those who do not support them and give the money to those who do. Or give the money to those they would like to have support them. It is the end of the line. Game over...

I remember when we were going to elect tea party candidates and they were going to defund healthcare. Didn’t happen.
Even if the house refuses to pass a budget, obama will simply rule by fiat and executive order. Which is their plan all along. What we witnessed tonight was a cou d tat. sp A dictator just took over. I can hardly believe I lived to see this.

Obscene, isn’t it. Being elected in this country has come to this? We are soooo far away from our founding that it is a joke.
Let her crash and burn, I don’t give a good flock any longer. Our founders would laugh at our pansy azz.
It has been lost since before Obama, we’re just starting to wake up.
Everything was peachy until I got home tonight. Then, there was the long faces over at Fox, except Megan was giggling at every chance she got. Little did I realize that the fix was in.Credit O’Riley from Monday. He did not make a prediction. Up your’s Fox.
The parasites now outnumber the producers. It’s a simple as that.
Wrong—There will be a great deal of change coming. Rule by decree, Obama care will be the law—New redistribution of all wealth! Government will control all businesses for the good of the unions. We have not seen the measure of change. By 2014 the USA will be transformed fully —like it or not. Best to join the Democratic Party and praise Obama’s Genius now to secure better rations in the new Republic of Obama.
if Romney couldn’t do this tonight, nobody could do it....

HOGWASH, Romney was the WEAK candidate. Put the blame where it belongs, on the GOP elite.
I hate Obama too, but that doesn’t change the fact that Romney was a candidate who was weak, wouldn’t or couldn’t fight and the worst possible choice.
But the GOPe decided it was ‘Romney’s turn’ and the media pushed him in the primaries because they knew he wouldn’t win.
Here’s the good news: Big Bird is safe.
Well FRiends, God bless you guys for all your hard work.
[I would have helped if I wasn’t so blasted laggy.]
Our democrat senate will rubber stamp his judicial nominees. So guess what? We’re in trouble.
America chose to vote against God and his “bitter clinger” worshipers. We will now see how ‘great’ Obama is at handling the economy.
We can take lessons from Mark Stein — sit back in the peanut gallery and observe this madness with a sense of humor. If we don’t laugh now and then, we’ll despair.
Obama did not win in a landslide either, this needs to be kept in mind. There is no 0bama-mandate and we just may indeed see a Pres. Biden, before 2014. I think the 0bama regime breathed a sigh of relief, not a shout of joy.
The problem we have is even if we stall the next 4 years, drastic changes are coming that were legislated in these past 4 years. 0bama has steadily been flexing his executive order muscle as well. I do so agree we are going to see a fundamentally America changed.
I have already seen, heard, and read for calls to silence the extreme voices against the regime. I have seen demands from Progressives for us to just ‘get over it’ and join the party. No regard to our core Rights, even been told to get over the ‘God thing.’
There is a lot coming from the government that scares me, but there is even more coming from the culture that puts fear in my heart. The Progressives are viewing this as their mandate...it is their time...and they are not going to let anyone...any One stand in their way.
I wish my internet connection weren’t so terrible. I couldn’t do much research this year — couldn’t even load Drudge. God bless everyone! FRegards ....
AMERICA.....RIP.
So true
We now have government of the scu&bags, by the scu&bags and for the scu&bags.
IMHO
"Farewell! A long farewell, to all my greatness!"
It is nice to hear from you my friend.
“. If we dont laugh now and then, well despair.”
You got it.
Sit back and “enjoy” the new normal. Bah.
