Volunteer election poll watchers from True the Vote, the Houston-based nonpartisan election integrity group, are reporting that Houstons NAACP chapter has taken over an election polling station.
The full sworn statement of the True the Vote volunteer who claims to have witnessed the event is below:
Incident Report
Eve Rockford
Precinct: 139 Polling location: Acres Home Multi Service
6719 W. Montgomery Road, Houston, TX 77091 County: Harris
Poll Supervisor: Rose Cochran
Asst. Supervisor: Bernard Guskie
Clerk: Lawrence Simko, Marsha, Franchetta Pines, Dayan Cohen
Offender: NAACP and Sylvester Turner
Date and Times: 11/2/2012 2:25 and 5:25
At 2:25 the NAACP 3 representatives arrived with probably 50 cases of bottled water and began loading them on dollies handing them out to people standing in line. They were talking to them about flying to Ohio to promote Barack Obama. They were stirring the crowd. The crowd was complaining about the lines. It was getting loud. I went to the PJ and let her know that it was not appropriate that they were in the building handing out water. She ignored me. I repeated my statement. She told me that she would handle it. She did nothing. I then went to the AJ and he stood up, walked over to another table and then sat down. I then walked into the waiting room and they were reloading another dolly with more cases of water. The NAACP began hand picking people out of the lines and began moving these people to the front of the line. The people were getting mad and asking why were these people being moved to the front of the line. All of a sudden one of the clerks, Dayan said that someone wanted to speak to me on the phone.

Sounds like a job for the UN election monitors!!
Sounds more like a job for Smith and Wesson.
Is anything going to be done about it?
Trial balloon for Nov 6?
Test run for Nov 6?
Texas is the new California. complete with homosexual mayors.
Today’s Texas is not your fathers Texas.
It appears the ignorant, banana republic types have taken over.
This the real problem with poll watchers. They have no authority to do anything. They have no control. They can’t stop something they see that is illegal. The people that are in control have been planted there by the left. Sadly- all this report does is confirm to us that there is major cheating going on and those in charge of election are in on it. But nobody will do anything about. And in fact it is already too late. Those votes will be counted no mater what.
The 47% freeloaders are getting their REVENGE!
Where are the Texas Rangers when you need them?
Ping.. want more duct-tape?
The fact that they are so brazen can only mean that the effort to crack down on fraud is working.
They can only win elections by fraud.
On the plus side, Acres Home is Obamaland anyway.
I am a poll watcher in the county southwest of Houston.. If this happened in our county, they would be in jail.. They try, but get shut down ASAP.. I know, I’m going to be threatened, it happens ever year.. Whatever!
I have the Sheriff Dispatcher Phone # on my phone, as well as the Election officer, cell phone #, both on quick dial.. HA! They call me Mr. INYOURFACE.. LOLOL
Best of luck and fortune to you.
This is called electioneering, and it is illegal within 100 feet of a polling place. It is the responsibility of the election workers to stop this.
In Texas, the election workers are supposed to be split 50-50 between the two parties at every polling place. The problem is that too few Conservatives volunteer to be election clerks, judges and alternate judges. Instead — for some weird reason — they volunteer to be poll watchers, which have no power to intervene.
We got enough Republicans in Galveston County, but we had to work at it. Apparently Harris County did not work hard enough.
I keep telling people DON’T VOLUNTEER TO BE A POLL WATCHER IF ELECTION CLERK SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE. (Yes, I am shouting.)
Having both parties at each polling place is the best way to prevent vote fraud. In Texas, it is the law. So, next time don’t piss it away.
Maybe we should just give it back to Mexico.
