...AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS STORM TO IMPACT THE AREA...
SANDY IS EXPECTED TO SLAM INTO THE NEW JERSEY COAST LATER MONDAY NIGHT, BRINGING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WINDS TO THE REGION. THE STORM IS A LARGE ONE, THEREFORE DO NOT FOCUS ON THE EXACT CENTER OF THE STORM AS ALL AREAS WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS.
THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE AN HISTORIC STORM, WITH WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES, INLAND AND COASTAL FLOODING, AND MASSIVE BEACH EROSION. THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAVY RAIN AND PROLONGED WIND WILL CREATE THE POTENTIAL FOR LONG LASTING POWER OUTAGES AND SERIOUS FLOODING.
PREPARATIONS SHOULD BE WRAPPING UP AS CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO WORSEN TONIGHT AND ESPECIALLY ON MONDAY.
SOME IMPORTANT NOTES...
1. IF YOU ARE BEING ASKED TO EVACUATE A COASTAL LOCATION BY STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS, PLEASE DO SO.
2. IF YOU ARE RELUCTANT TO EVACUATE, AND YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO RODE OUT THE `62 STORM ON THE BARRIER ISLANDS, ASK THEM IF THEY COULD DO IT AGAIN.
3. IF YOU ARE RELUCTANT, THINK ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES, THINK ABOUT THE EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WHO WILL BE UNABLE TO REACH YOU WHEN YOU MAKE THE PANICKED PHONE CALL TO BE RESCUED, THINK ABOUT THE RESCUE/RECOVERY TEAMS WHO WILL RESCUE YOU IF YOU ARE INJURED OR RECOVER YOUR REMAINS IF YOU DO NOT SURVIVE.
4. SANDY IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS STORM. THERE WILL BE MAJOR PROPERTY DAMAGE, INJURIES ARE PROBABLY UNAVOIDABLE, BUT THE GOAL IS ZERO FATALITIES.
5. IF YOU THINK THE STORM IS OVER-HYPED AND EXAGGERATED, PLEASE ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION.

I have to ask can’t anyone look a weather map and get the basics? Can’t anyone who believes that everything the ‘Lamestream’ say is hype or at least suspect just do a bit of research and learn for themselves? You don’t need a degree in meteorology to understand the mechanics of this storm, its’easy enough that anyone with a middle school grasp of basic meteorology should be able to understand just how dangerous it is.
Instead of people doing a bit of research which is so easy with today’s internet, they go off and proclaim things and make statements with no standing in fact.
Has any one ever heard of storm surge? Does anyone release that the highest tides of the month are going to coincide with Sandy’s landfall Now think about that and look at these facts:

But worse than that are the people who didn’t even tried to educate themselves as to the facts and instantly proclaimed this hurricane as fake from the moment it formed.
We seem to have a lot of ‘ODS’ here on FR. Yes ‘Bama’ is horrible, yes he HAS GOT TO GO, but these people act like ‘Bama’ either conjurered up the storm or the whole thing is some Machiavellian plot out of a bad suspense novel. LIFE goes on, things happen. The storm doesn’t know or care that it’s election time or what ‘BAMA’ has done to this country.
I wouldn’t be surprised to hear of people who believed so much that the hurricane is just some leftist plot that they are caught unprepared for the storm and dying as a result of it crying out “It’s Obama’s fault” with their last breath!
Some seem to have reached a point where if they go to the doctor next week and he tells them that they have cancer it will be Obama’s fault! Or if they have a flat tire on the way to work next week it will be Obama’s fault! If you step on a crack and break your mother’s back it will be Obama’s fault!
To me this is the talk, methods and the mindset of the leftist. Its the same shill BS they spewed against George Bush. I thought we are better than that. I know we should be better than that. I know we can be better than that.
The other thing I notice is that is the me, me, me take so many seem to be taking with this storm. Hell this storm will most likely KILL people and here’s people who are supposedly conservatives sounding like leftist. Everything is me me me. How is the Hurricane going to effect the election? And so on it’s sickening. So people are going to die and homes get lost and peoples lives get turned upside , well that’s bad but how is it going to effect me? I guess it doesn’t matter what losses occur as long as it doesn’t effect the election. Seems many on FR have their priorities screwed up.
Well, they get the barometric pp change and then the strange smells from thousands of miles away.

It’s very strange. I hope to God that they don’t start crying about votes because of the storm.
No doubt it’s a very large storm. But, there have been much stronger hurricanes in the past (florida, NC, or gulf states) and I don’t recall such a huge reaction. Perhaps it is because of the large cities in its path, such as NYC, making it unusual and dangerous. I don’t know, but whoever put out this latest warning needs to take the rest of the day off work, perhaps come back after the storm.
