BOSTON, October 24, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) As a young Mormon bishop, Mitt Romney made a passionate attempt to stop a woman from aborting her child.

And just WHO would just ONE of those folks be?
Point out where what you claim is in evidence.
I wasn’t confused, though I am now. ;d
I thought you said you felt better about Romney than McCain, and I was agreeing.
As to Herman Cain, I liked him also, he was one of the better ones out of a bad crop of candidates. His inexperience really showed though, too bad he wasn’t elected to the Senate in 2004.
What is the "this" you refer to? I didn't say "conservatives can control Romney" I said I'd worry about him when he is in office. Osama is a dangerous traitor, time to say goodbye.
I am sorry that my posts have been confusing. You have got it though.
1. I like Romney better than McCain.
2. I was supported Herman Cain up until his campaign imploded.
This seems to be the mindset of most of the country; no matter WHAT the lying 'pollsters' keep spewing.
I didn't say "conservatives can control Romney" I said I'd worry about him when he is in office.
You are, of course, right.
It's just that SO many on FR seem to think that we conservatives COULD manipulate him (hold his feet to the fire) that it appeared, to me, that this same idea was being put forward.
When you're top dog; NO one 'controls' you other than yourself.
There is no other office higher than US President; other than King of the World.
Most likely scenario for the next 4 years: Two Supreme Court justices will be replaced, at least one of those two currently being held by a “conservative” justice.
One of these two candidates will be determining the trajectory of decisions on issues such as of Freedom of Religion, Free Speech, Eminent Domain, Free Enterprise, and Life.
It is undeniable that a President Mitt Romney is far more likely to choose a Justice sympathetic to the Christian viewpoint on those issues than this current president. Well, I guess that it is undeniable to any person with a soul and a brain. ObamaCare is going to kill more babies. Religion, the freedom of the Internet, and on and on, are at stake. The ONLY HOPE of overturning Roe vs. Wade in the next 20 years will be dashed if -bama puts into place two more 50yr old justices like Kagan and Sotomeyer. A million dead babies per year cry out for Christians to do everything they are able do to shorten the time of this holocaust, and that will include pressuring a President Romney to bear them in mind with his nominations. You know from experience such pressure on -bama is in vain. It is certainty that twenty million and more will die in the next twenty years if Christians like you and me fail them now; maybe some will be saved if we don’t fail them.
There are ONLY two choices, and one of those choices is NOT you, or your pastor. You are encouraging people to choose Obama by working to depress the Romney voters, and by denying the cries of those dead, despite your fervent foolish denials that is your intent.
“Lesser of two evils”? Perhaps. But the failure to choose one of these two is itself evil.
Then you'd best get your folks in position to APPROVE whomever the next president appointws; right?
Oh?
You have strange logic.
You are working for him instead. Congratulations.
Hey, Colo... Use a bigger font, then you're sure to win the argument! :)
It's the textual equivalent of a screaming hissy-fit!
To a MORMON; bitching about font size is a good way not to deal with the content of the data.
Uh..
...after Romney's term is over; of course.
No, Now.
Your withdrawing from the field of battle is shameful. You implicitly give support to -bama by your constant belittlement of a man who stands in opposition to him. If he is re-elected, more babies will die, religious principles will be even more under attack, more conservative and moral positions will be accosted.
Only Romney/Ryan or -bama/biden WILL be choosing the Supreme Court justices and other judges from 2013-2016. Neither you nor St.Paul will be choosing them, but you may at least be able to influence a President Romney. We already KNOW how -bama will choose, and the amount of influence Christians have on his choices.
God has sent evangelicals like you and me the tools we need for survival. That tool is our vote, which all too many of us fail to use. You have surely heard the “joke”/illustration set in front of the Pearly Gates of the man who died in a flood after rejecting the assistance of a canoe, and a helicopter, saying “God will provide”. God rebukes him for his foolhardiness. It is not said whether he is granted entrance.
Evangelicals are now supporting Romney over -bama by on the order of 2:1 or 3:1. Rev.Billy Graham is supporting Romney over Obama. You maintain that their soul-searching is of less value than yours? (There is another old saw coming to my mind now, but I think too snarky for what the appeal I am trying to make to you, but I can’t think of another good way of putting it, and I ask you to look past the snark to the message.) When ten men tell you that you’re drunk, it is time to sit down.
I know that you have invested a huge amount over the last year and more, degrading and dismissing Romney. During the primary I was all with you, hoping for Santorum or Cain or Bachmann, but we’re long past primaries. I ask that you revisit the Romney question now, try to start over ignoring the huge effort you have already invested. Please do some soul-searching and serious prayer about this, and I pray, that like Rev.Graham, you too will realize that Mitt Romney is the better of the two candidates for President, and that you vote for him, and stop working against him. I will also pray that you relent your previous statements, and apologize to all FReepers, because I think that could have a big effect, though I can not ask that you take that step.
Only Romney/Ryan or -bama/biden WILL be choosing the Supreme Court justices. Neither you nor St.Paul will be choosing them. You may at least be able to influence a President Romney. We already KNOW how -bama will choose, and the amount of influence Christians have on his choices.
Post 6 was Mitt’s quote, he is also an abortionist, and he has already rejected the pro-life party platform that he was nominated to uphold.
Mitt has been pro-abortion his entire life, but no one has ever said that he was pro-abortion for Mormons.
I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country; I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a U.S. Senate candidate, Romney said
Please consider all my posts this thread addressed to you also.
See post 114, you are campaigning for an abortionist and pretending that he isn’t one.
LOL
You post that (and repost it, and repost it, and repost it, and repost it and repost it and repost it and repost it ...) as if those you wish to browbeat have no memory that you posted it a hundred times before! Have you no memory? Do you believe that I am not aware of that post? Do you believe that other evangelicals are not aware? Do you believe that Romney had trouble gaining the nomination despite people being unaware of it? To what, pray tell, do you ascribe that trouble?
Rev.Billy Graham is also aware of that, as well as many other objections to Mitt Romney. Evangelicals are supporting Romney over -bama by a 3:1 margin. Do you think that Evangelicals and Rev.Graham are unaware?
The bottom line is that one of these two men WILL BE elected President for 2013-2016 a week from now. The man elected will NOT be YOU or anyone other than them. The man elected will not be Santorum, Cain, Bachmann, Palin, your pastor, or St.Paul or God. The man elected WILL be responsible for nominating many judges and Supreme Court Justices, and we must choose which of those two men is more likely to be sympathetic to Christians, and Christian morals.
It is the Time for Choosing. It is a time to be a big boy, not a whiny 5 year old.
Please join Rev.Graham, me, and other evangelicals in not only voting for Romney but supporting him for election, though that will not end our job. After that I will ask you to work to sway his nominations for judges and legislation that support our moral values.
Those were a lot of words to avoid my point, you are campaigning for an abortionist who has rejected your party’s pro-life platform.
Romney is a pro-abortion candidate and you are trying to pretend that he isn’t.
Vote for who you want, but don’t be dishonest about it.
Who withdrew?
You are the one shooting blanks.
Mere accusations with NOTHING to back them up.
When ten liberals tell me anything I'll consider the sources.
