Freepers, As we have done in the past, I would like to set up a prayer vigil for the upcoming election that will last round the clock for 72 hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The way it works is that freepers take a time slot to commit to praying during that particular time of day. Time is in Eastern Standard time, so will need to convert it to your time zone if you're not on the Eastern side of the US. Also encouraging you to fast at this time if you feel led. It can be an absolute fast, a partial fast, or a fast of something that isn't food (such as media). The idea is to set aside some time where we focus on reaching out to God on behalf of our nation. Queen Esther came to the kingdom for "such a time as this." and after a 3 day fast made intercession to the king for her people. Jonah prayed in the belly of the whale, where he was for 3 days. Obviously, he fasted there too. The result, the enemy was thwarted in Esther and Nineveh repented and was saved in Jonah. Perhaps God will be gracious to us still. We don't deserve it, but that is what grace is. It is undeserved.

There is also a Nov. 1 day of fasting and prayer put out. No request for times, just to do it.
My suggestion is to keep praying, even if we win, until Romney takes the oath of office. I would not put it past this current office occupier to try anything and everything to overturn and/or prevent anyone succeeding him. I admit that I feel Obama has something up his sleeve. He is too cocky and full of himself, as if to say that he knows he is going nowhere, irregardless of the election results. So, keep this in prayer beyond Nov. 6th!
