Maybe not...you’ll get some additional tax on the front end but you’ll lose all of it on the back end. So who wins?
NOBODY.

I got skills baby!

McCall is where I’m thinking. Unbelievable how beautiful it is.

Course the food is the same everywhere: Steak and Potatoes? or would you like Steak and Potatoes?

No Kulture and nothing but Whitey’s but, I’ll pretend I’m back in my small hometown of 600 in Oklahoma and go fishing, hunting, camping, swimming, water skiing, snow skiing(if they ever open that ski lodge again), waving to complete strangers as I drive by with a smile, live peacefully among others who are pretty much happy with God, their families and well....life.

I can swing a hammer, use a saw, do some plumbing, I’m right there when someone needs help.

It’ll be great, with no friction and real quiet, the way I like it.

We already know several that have. Also didn’t the facebook executive looking at his payout even leave the country?

Increased taxes in CA will see small to medium sized business and middle class families leave (or go out of business). The disparity between the rich and poor will widen more after these tax increases go through.

Yes, SOME rich won’t leave California, everyone has some reasons to stay put and not bother with moving.

BUT many rich ARE leaving California!
Why stay when you can live as well, or better, in as nice or better communities.... in several of the other 57 states ...
and...
not pay California’s 10% income tax
not pay California’s 9% sales tax
not pay double for every restaurant meal or other things you buy (due to the state’s extremely high costs of doing business, business taxes, and oppressive regulatory overload)
and yes, you can get 2, 3, 5 or even 10 times the housing for the same price, in many, many very nice places around America. some very nice places...

So, the rich who are not TIED down to California, and who have at least two brain cells to rub together, ARE getting OUT, and as FAST as they possibly can!

And from all signs anyone can see there, the trend is accelerating... as the state’s Governor seeks to raise income and sales taxes even higher than they already are!
Up Up and AWAY
(California’s taxes and costs of living go UP and UP ,.... and all those that can get AWAY as fast as they can)

“Increased taxes in CA will see small to medium sized business and middle class families leave (or go out of business). “

The “brilliance” of Obamacare taxes are that it makes it bad everywhere. Having no place to run is the goal of the marxists.

I left in 2006 after having lived there 30 years.
And I lived in a low crime area.

They already have, but never mind that. "We're going to find out" is perhaps the best response, unfortunately.

Liberal logic: If you kick a guy once and he doesn’t leave, he probably won’t ever leave.

Exactly.. the rich always pass the taxes on to the poor.. (consumer)..
Business does not pay taxes the consumer does..

Actually virtually ALL TAXES are paid by the consumer.. All three givernments(fed,St,Loc) milk "the People" like farm animals.. and attach their property when they die..

Its like Solylent Green "with money".. fiat money loaned to the people by the federal reserve thats not any more federal than the Bank of America is..

ONLY drones in the collective are not aware of this or are and don't care.. Many republicans are drones..

average home price in Palo Alto area (home of Stanford University) ranges from 1 to 10 million dineros.
And some over 100 mil, too

student parking lot is jammed full of mercedes and other super-inflated luxury vehicles

a Center on Poverty Studies in the middle of such a community is a bit, well, mis-placed perhaps?

Maybe I will end up retiring as an expatriate. I’m really down on the long-term prospects of the USA in terms of not becoming like Greece.

They always think that raisng taxes and adding restrictions will never affect the behavior of those who will bear the burden of such things...

They claim to know all about science but they fail the whole “pain stimulus —> response reaction “ rule of biology.

They never ever think of the unintended consequences of their actions yet they bring forth their actions on “good intentions” while never putting them to a test when it comes to the actual results, just the perceived results...

So they usually are the owners or have an interest in manufacturing or services. All they have to do is raise the cost to consumers and have really have not lost profits. The middle and poor always get the shaft.

But you don’t understand.

From the top of the ivory tower on a clear day, you can see Oakland.

Yup, the Rich are first to leave because they have the most to lose and they have the money to up and move if they need to, Middle class and especially lower middle class have the hardest time leaving because they live on razor thin margins... The poor are too, but the working poor are the most stuck.

I left San Diego in 2000 for Idaho. Lower taxes. Lower cost of living. Better firearms laws. No stinking smog checks for no good reason. Lower vehicle registration. Higher CA taxes are a transient issue for me. They only have an impact while I'm physically present in San Diego performing direct contract labor. I have ZERO ties that would prevent me from simply driving home to Idaho and cutting off any further revenue to CA.
