The details of the September 11 attack that killed four Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi are still murky and there's certainly more to be known.

Former CIA officer Clare Lopez argues that the key issue is "the relationship of the U.S. government, Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya with Al Qaeda."

That relationship, Lopez argues, could be connected to the rise of Islamic brigades in Syria, who recently created a "Front to Liberate Syria" to wage jihad against the Syrian regime and turn the country into an Islamic state.

Keep in mind that both Romney and Ryan, about a week after this event broke (you’ll recall the admin trashing Romney for commenting without knowing anything— that was their first block)— they began receiving full national security briefs (requiring top secret clearance).

So Romney and Ryan know the same intel (presumably if it hasn’t been washed) as Biden (or what he remembers of it). They went to the “video” explanation as a fabrication first, which was thereafter clearly known by Romney/Ryan to be false. Given this info now, Romney should be able to mop the floor with the lies— make the public see how either incompetent or even worse- how compromised (can you say “agent of the muslim brotherhood”?-obama and hillary/huma abedin).

Stevens converted to Islam, despite being openly gay and in favor of gay rights in Muslim countries. His embassy even encouraged gay relationships in its recruitment ads for security personnel! He was also heavily in favor of gay "marriage," and actively sought to promote its acceptance.

Too bad for this deranged ideologue that one of Islam's greatest hypocrisies is the fact that Muslim men commonly engage in homosexual activity, but do not think of themselves as homosexuals. Indeed, they are publicly and violently opposed to it. In Islamic countries sexual abuse of young boys is endemic. However, as it is considered acceptable, no stigma attaches to it. I was watching something last night that included an interview with someone who seemed to know Stevens well. (May have been the Bret Baer special).

When asked if Stevens knew the dangers of being there, he replied, “He knew, but he believed in the mission.” (paraphrased)

Especially after what I just heard Col. Anthony Shaffer state on the Judge Jeanine Show about ten minutes ago. Shaffer stated that help could have been had from a nearby US ship to the Ambassador and the three others in less than 30 minutes!!

My bet is Steven's was supposed to be taken hostage so he could work with al Qaeda in Syria without anyone knowing about it. Remember, there wasn't supposed to be any security there to put up any resistance.

Rumors were that Stevens was to be taken alive as a high value target and then traded for the blind sheik.My guess is that he willingly died of smoke inhalation rather than be a useful tool of the obama regime and terror types but we will never know.

He was even a muslim. He spoke arabic. The guy was incredibly naive. That was at least part of what got him killed. However its also naive to think that both state and the regime didn't want him gone. Syria has the potential to blow up out of control, and they certainly don't want anyone to know that we have operatives in Syria helping al Qaeda learn how to use heavy weapons like surface to air missiles.

To be honest with you there are so many possibilities I am just trying to put this entire thing all together and am still learning more and more all the time.

From what I have read about Stevens he seemed to have connections all over the arab world. You hear as much positive about him as you do negative. Its hard to pigeon hole this guy with any accuracy.

That's another problem I have had, and thanks for that analysis. Its the only thing that makes any sense. Was the regime just letting Hillary run the 8 hours of hell going on in Benghazi knowing she would screw it up and unless they called for help from us ships just a half hour away Stevens was not coming out alive.Or, were they pulling her strings?
