He should have gone back to Benghazi when he had the floor again, I think that would have sealed the deal.
Overall, I still think he performed strong. Obama showed up and was fairly coherent, that in itself was a 100 percent turnaround in his favor. Overall, his performance was weak. The instances were it was clear he had the questions and Candy allowing him to close with the 47% crap went a long way to aiding him tonight.
Prediction, Romney goes for the jugular in the last debate.
You must admit you made a rather smarmy remark.
....looked a bit...orgasmic...
Reading that post again, does it seem more 'truthful' and 'logical' now ?
You mention his voice pitch, and I also noticed that. He totally stole some cadences from Ryan.
Also, there were a few times over the past year or two that he stole complete PHRASES from Paul Ryan. ‘You’re not listening’ was one, ‘trying to have an adult conversation’ was another...
I only know this because I have a total platonic CRUSH on Ryan, and have seen every publicly posted video too many times to count!
Obama has no chance in NC. Virginia is a state that Mitt needs to win. Obama is a fool and it is catching on quickly.
Warning, lengthy excerpt follows. In the Obam Rose Garden remarks, Obama did say "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation" but it hardly clear that this referred to Benghazi:
OBAMA: The day after the attack, governor, I stood in the Rose Garden and I told the American people in the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened. That this was an act of terror and I also said that were going to hunt down those who committed this crime.
And then a few days later, I was there greeting the caskets coming into Andrews Air Force Base and grieving with the families.
And the suggestion that anybody in my team, whether the Secretary of State, our U.N. Ambassador, anybody on my team would play politics or mislead when weve lost four of our own, governor, is offensive. Thats not what we do. Thats not what I do as president, thats not what I do as Commander in Chief.
CROWLEY: Governor, if you want to
ROMNEY: Yes, I I
CROWLEY:
quickly to this please.
ROMNEY: I I think interesting the president just said something which which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.
OBAMA: Thats what I said.
ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror.
It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what youre saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed governor.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It it it he did in fact, sir. So let me let me call it an act of terror
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
ROMNEY: This the administration the administration indicated this was a reaction to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.
CROWLEY: It did.
ROMNEY: It took them a long time to say this was a terrorist act by a terrorist group. And to suggest am I incorrect in that regard, on Sunday, the your secretary
OBAMA: Candy?
ROMNEY: Excuse me. The ambassador of the United Nations went on the Sunday television shows and spoke about how
OBAMA: Candy, Im
ROMNEY: this was a spontaneous
CROWLEY: Mr. President, let me
OBAMA: Im happy to have a longer conversation
CROWLEY: I know you
OBAMA: about foreign policy.
CROWLEY: Absolutely. But I want to I want to move you on and also
OBAMA: OK. Im happy to do that, too.
>CROWLEY: the transcripts and
OBAMA: I just want to make sure that
CROWLEY: figure out what we
OBAMA: all of these wonderful folks are going to have a chance to get some of their questions answered.
CROWLEY: Because what I what I want to do, Mr. President, stand there a second, because I want to introduce you to Nina Gonzalez, who brought up a question that we hear a lot, both over the Internet and from this crowd.
SO..... you’re not going to vote for Crowley for President, correct?
Yeah, he won...for telling the largest number of lies, and for having help from the moderator with affirming those lies.
wait , I thought you though Candy Crowly was so amazing. lol.
wait , I thought you thought Candy Crowly was so amazing. lol.
Obama has an abysmal record to defend. He is a socialist. America has money but it goes nowhere under this idiot.
I agree with you. I think that for the most part, the more he spoke, the worse it was.... but he definitely got some zingers in there... and Romney didn’t get in.... but still, I’d bet the extra time played ‘against’ him.
(Hope!)
platonic CRUSH???
Is that like being a liberal conservative?
OK. So tell me, how did Obama indicate he would solve any of the problems during all the time he spoke?
Name one particular (dem talking point) and tell me what his answer was ?
no, it’s like: I’m married... and don’t want to think what could have been. lol.
(full disclosure) I’ve admitted my crush to my husband. And considering that he’s happily married too, and I’m almost a decade older... I call it a platonic crush just not to feel too pathetic.
Most of 0’s answers are those faux-folksy anecdotal yap fests where he talks just to hear himself.
He never gives straight answers.
“Well ya know, my grandmother was impoverished...blah blah blah.”
And unicorns...lots of unicorns.
What is very sad and disturbing, is how many folks don’t understand simple economics or even human nature.
Yes, President Bozo is a socialist.
How many swing voters actually know what that really means and the ramifications associated with them ?
I have come to believe that there are way too many people that don’t even care to understand. It’s to hard.
Romney destroyed the Muslim, communist Obama. deal with it.
That is encouraging what you said about Luntz’s group. I saw them after the Biden-Ryan debate and they were still unsure. So if tonight’s debate made a number of them lean towards Romney, it may not have been as bad as it appeared to me.
Hopefully even though the media will give the Fraud cover on the Libya lie, maybe Romney’s people can get some commercials out, where we see him lying tonight and they playing what he said about the video as the cause the next day.
Romney missed a great opportunity to illustrate how naive the Fraud is about how an economy works.. “ The President has never run a business, never created jobs, doesn’t seem to understand basic economic principles. The cost of gas in 2009 was related to supply and demand, not the state of the economy. If a slow economy keeps gas prices down, as you just suggested, them with THIS economy gas should be $ 1.50 a gallon ??? We have seen demand increase and we have not kept up supply, you have stopped the keystone pipeline, cut way back on drilling on government lands, stopped drilling off-shore, that’s why gas prices are at $ 4 a gallon. “
LOL! Just saw breaking on The Daily Caller’s site, that Crowley clarifies debate statement on Obama’s Benghazi reaction: “Romney was right in the main.”
