(CNSNews.com) – Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb refused to use the word “terrorist” during her testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday, saying she is not in the position to make “any judgments on my own.”
Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) pressed Lamb, who appeared as a witness on Capitol Hill on the security breaches surrounding the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi last month, following her testimony:
“Today as I listen to people, and you, Ms. Lamb, have said you’ve described these attackers in a number of ways, but you don’t mention terrorist at all. Why is that?” Burton asked.

(CNSNews.com) – Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb refused to use the word “terrorist” during her testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday, saying she is not in the position to make “any judgments on my own.”
Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) pressed Lamb, who appeared as a witness on Capitol Hill on the security breaches surrounding the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi last month, following her testimony:

Why would you call this anything but a terrorist attack? Why do you call them attackers?” Burton added.
“Sir, I have just presented the facts as they come across,” Lamb said. “I am not making any judgments on my own.”

The State Department’s refusal to make a “judgment” that they were terrorists reminds me of this classic exchange:

Uh, we’re, still trying to figure out the meaning of that last phrase, sir.

Obviously , since they weren’t terorists , our leaders have alredy indicated that we have already won “the war with terrorism”.
Not terrorists : these were just highly-spirited fellows who just happened to be armed with RPG and automatic weapons looking for a nice , urban target range ?
I am sure that the anarchists in the “Occupy “ movement would be willing to hold the targets in front of their chests to help out for another anarchy group !
If the “war with terrorism” is already won , then why is it we have DHS , military in cities (in violation of ‘posse commitas ‘), and TSA doing street stops and pat-downs ?
Who are the ( illegal ) criminals then ?

She is one of the reasons our state dept is so bad. She cannot think on her own. She only parrots what she is told. Why do we have such a person working there?

At the time Lamb was saying this, CNN was broadcasting a story about how Romney was going to hurt women. Ideologues wouldn’t even try to cover up this Libya story. These are people being paid by the Democrats. Any publicly held company that advertises on a media outlet that is covering-up this Libya debacle, has management that is guilty of not exercising the proper responsibility with the stockholder’s hard-earned money. What an absolutely shameful performance by CNN.
