Mitt Romney in a major speech Monday will call for a change of course in U.S. foreign policy -- saying the recent, deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya is part of a profound upheaval and that hope is not a strategy.
The speech will mark one of Romneys final opportunities before Election Day to show his potential as a world leader -- amid political turmoil in the Middle East.
The attacks on America last month should not be seen as random acts. They are expressions of a larger struggle that is playing out across the broader Middle East -- a region that is now in the midst of the most profound upheaval in a century, Romney will say, according to speech excerpts provided by the Republican presidential nominees campaign.
I know the president hopes for a safer, freer, and a more prosperous Middle East allied with the United States. I share this hope, Romney continues. But hope is not a strategy. We cannot support our friends and defeat our enemies in the Middle East when our words are not backed up by deeds.
Romney is set to speak at Virginia Military Institute at 11:20 a.m. ET.

Romney better nail Obama to the WALL over Libya.
Speech ping
I hope he doesn’t say he supports the Syrian opposition more than hussein does.
“Hope is not a strategy. We cannot support our friends and defeat our enemies in the Middle East when our words are not backed up by deeds,” Romney plans to say in the address, adding that the U.S. should use its influence “wisely, with solemnity and without false pride, but also firmly and actively.”

And this will make past the media black out only by patriots sharing it on less conservative forums all acrossed the web.
You know what is great about this is that obama’s puny little brain is still reeling from the Smackdown last week. And now he is going to get hit hard in an area where he is extremely incompetent and extremely vulnerable. This is sort of the “two” of a devastating “one-two” combination.
But the beauty is, if this speech causes him to stop studying how to speak without his teleprompter while his response to this speech might be good, he will bungle the next debate....
The WH and his lackeys in the Press will IMMEDIATELY begin stating that Romney doesn’t understand all the facts intricacies in out dealings with Libya and the Middle East in General, and his opinions are “hurting the process” and his opinions are undermining the nation’s policy, and he shouldn’t comment at all and blah blah blah...
Thanks for the link!
Of course they will- but I believe starting a week or ten days ago Romney began receiving intel briefings, so it’s unlikely he is as ignorant as O will have us believe.
FOX will carry this live.
I haven’t checked if CNN or MSNBC will...though CNN may cover part of it.
Is there a livefeed link to watch on line? Thanks!!
Undoubtedly in a negative way. They will be sure to highlight any statements they want to take issue with.

Crawl says next up- Romney speech.
Also- FOX usually has a streaming link up for these things..
I hope it’s a barn-burner.
Doesn’t matter to me. I wouldn’t watch them anyway. Would rather watch a livestream or FOX, but if not, then wait for the video.
Or maybe this:
Mitt Romney Delivers Major Foreign Policy Speech
Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney visits the Virginia Military Institute today to lay out his foreign policy vision, and contrast it with that of President Obama.
Live at 11:20am (ET) on C-SPAN
As someone once said “It’s the economy, stupid”. Keep hammering it and don’t get off message.
