And so begins our annual 7th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
Thank you humble gunner for the graphic.
TexasCowboy (aka COB1) was a true Texas gentleman, great friend, patriot, and a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. It is truly an honor to continue a tradition he started many years ago, hosting shoots for FRiends around the great state of Texas.
Many FReepers are coming into town on Thursday so that they can have a tourist day on Friday. Those lucky people are going to be made (a good) miserable Thursday evening by enjoying TheMoms Kick Ass Enchiladas.
The only set tourist place is The Lady Lex.
Friday evening we will meet at Captain Bennys, 103 Fulton Beach Road Fulton, TX 78382, at 8:00 p.m., for a delicious seafood dinner. (They do not take credit cards or serve liquor ~ so remember to bring your cash & booze.)
Saturday morning we meet for breakfast at Alice Fayes, 910 North Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358, at 8:00 a.m. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at, Schwenkes Gun & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069 Aransas Pass, TX, 78336. Mr. Schwenke has reserved the 25 yard shooting station for our group to use as home base. The only major rule at this range is do not shoot the livestock. A BBQ lunch will be served at 12:30ish.
Once the shooting is done some of us will be going to the Rockport Seafair, while others will go back to the Pelican Bay cottages for some R&R. Saturday evening will be filled with yummy junk food and margaritas!
According to the forecast, it looks as the weather will be perfect. Lows in the mid-sixtys, highs in the mid-eightys.
Nonsense! Not at the places I like!
Even if I mentioned it before, I have to tell you again. That is a great graphic for the Shoot, and I hope that you make the graphics from now on, if you and TheMom haven’t already planned for you to do so.
And you’re humble, too. [smiles]
ROTFL.
*Snort* [giggles] And I have, believe me!
Oh, don’t be silly. His list is all jumbled up anyway. Gunner can handle all three of us and more, I’m sure. He’s multi-talented, and one smart cookie!
Fosters Freeze was the place we’d go in San Diego.
Schilo's
I have been to Alpine many times but have never been there.
I miss everybody too. Maybe that is why i have been in a pissy mood all day....lol. Don’t be sad sweet onyx. It won’t be but 8 months til we all get together again.
I feel so grateful to have had a chance to meet each and every Freeper that was there.
God is Good indeed!
Max is great.
You’re so sweet! Thank you, and may God bless and keep you, too.
That was one tasty big bird, wasn’t it! I didn’t know that you were photographing me there. Dang.
Oh! And I forgot to tell you that the mutant alien lime/lemon/orange/grapefruit wasn’t too happy about going to Ohio, and it tried several times to hide or escape, but I always dug it out from under the car seat. It’s being held prisoner on the bar, and none too happy about it.
I was just keeping an eye on my Glock.
It’s my buddy.
LOL!!!
Suh! I would nevah presume to abscond with a real man’s Glock!
And thanks again for allowing me to fire it.
Abscond hell.
I’m obligated to be immediately present if it misfires or jams.
Which it don’t, but it could.
Safety was going on all around and it was unobtrusive.
Mrs alfa6 has been home two plus days now. She can navigate the 15 steps to the upstairs slowly but surely. We have been out for walks on the sidewalk twice a day the last two days. The Mrs is up to about 100 yards or so. Don't want to overdue it just yet. She can also go up and down the two steps between the den and the dining room with out any help.
And a big thanks to all y'all for the prayers and whatnot, I am sure it helped:-)
As far as next year goes let me know when and where and we will do out darndest to be there.
Regards
alfa6 ;>}
Those muzzle flashes are wily critters.
