And so begins our annual 7th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.

Thank you humble gunner for the graphic.

TexasCowboy (aka COB1) was a true Texas gentleman, great friend, patriot, and a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. It is truly an honor to continue a tradition he started many years ago, hosting shoots for FRiends around the great state of Texas.

Many FReepers are coming into town on Thursday so that they can have a tourist day on Friday. Those lucky people are going to be made (a good) miserable Thursday evening by enjoying TheMom’s Kick Ass Enchilada’s.

The only set tourist place is The Lady Lex.

Friday evening we will meet at Captain Benny’s, 103 Fulton Beach Road Fulton, TX 78382, at 8:00 p.m., for a delicious seafood dinner. (They do not take credit cards or serve liquor ~ so remember to bring your cash & booze.)

Saturday morning we meet for breakfast at Alice Faye’s, 910 North Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358, at 8:00 a.m. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at, Schwenke’s Gun & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069 Aransas Pass, TX, 78336. Mr. Schwenke has reserved the 25 yard shooting station for our group to use as “home base”. The only major rule at this range is do not shoot the livestock. A BBQ lunch will be served at 12:30ish.

Once the shooting is done some of us will be going to the Rockport Seafair, while others will go back to the Pelican Bay cottages for some R&R. Saturday evening will be filled with yummy junk food and margaritas!

According to the forecast, it looks as the weather will be perfect. Lows in the mid-sixty’s, highs in the mid-eighty’s.

Thanks for entertaining me by going to Central Market in Schulenburg Tx for lunch, and thank you NYT for hitting the Waco Health Camp on the way back.

I am ready for another road trip already.

I would be game to go down there for a look see after Thanksgiving , if we can stop in Lakeway(near Austin) so I can check out the rehearsal dinner venue I choose for my son’s wedding. I have to go soon after Thanksgiving to handle a few details, etc.
Not sure you guys would want to hang around while I pick out linens though....lol. Maybe there is a gun range nearby you can go shoot at for an hour while I do Martha Stewart stuff......lol. Then we can head down to Wimberly to check it out. Here is where I have to go:

Just let me know. I have to head to Mississippi for a few weeks on Nov. 2 or 3 and then Thanksgiving comes right after that so will be heading back to Ms. yet again. Anytime after that though and I am game.

Don’t clean...lol. I love you just the way you are.....lol!! I have been trying to figure out how to let my pal in Benton know I would rather stay with you guys on election night(if that is ok). I know she is gonna get her feelings hurt but I know they will be watching CNN all night and I just can’t handle that.....lol!!

Any ideas on how to break it to her? I was thinking of telling her that we have to live blog the event for Free Republic from your house. Maybe that way, she will understand. ???

YES, tell her we are part of the TEAM that is required to post and keep the FReepathon going...LOL... and the updates! I have two computers, but bring your thingee (I-pad?) regardless and anything else you want. I have a complete spare bedroom with empty chest of drawers! Move in ready for you!

I wish I could move my daughter leather couch over here before you arrive, (his sofa is the pits) but I don’t think that’s possible. We’ll survive!!!

You might also tell her I’m very possessive and needy and you promised me at a very weak moment and now you don’t know how to get out of it....LOL.

Sounds like a plan. I will keep you posted. I probably won’t get there until around 6:00 or so. I am taking my bro to doc that afternoon in Jackson but should be done by 4:00 or 5:00. I can’t wait to see you and Dr.O!!

Hopefully it is gonna be a night to celebrate taking our country back from the Marxists!! Can’t think of anyone I would rather be with to watch that happen!!

The Central Market in Schulenburg Tx for lunch was pretty good, but I didn't get to ea tone of those delicious German pastries penelopesire bought at the bakery across the street. We were saving them!

The Central Market was very “old school” nuthin fancy.

I got a couple of those kolaches the following morning.
Pretty darn good with coffee, and I don’t usually eat sweets.

The Czech pastries were not loaded with sugar.
