What can those of us in NON BATTLEGROUND states DO to get Romney elected?
Posted on 10/02/2012 7:51:17 AM PDT by Crimson Elephant
Apologies for the VANITY, but wanted a thread to pass along advice. I am in a total GOP state/district...it literally does not matter if I go vote because Romney will win, and all state races will go as they go.
SO for those in this situation (or the reverse for that matter..like Cali or New York), other than give money or drive and volunteer...what can we DO. Any ideas for those of us bound to jobs and way outside of a competitive state?
This is a call to get creative. I'm not sure trolling message boards and blogs really does anything, but who knows?

Just trying to circulate ideas for activism.

In past elections you could sign up with the RNC to make phone calls to voters in swing states. I would assume you can do the same this time.

You have friends & relatives in other states, Get in touch with them and set them straight, they have friends too.

I’d actually be happier to see some money sent to guys like Pete Hoeksta in his senate race against Debbie Stabenow.

Make phone calls for other parts of the country...and/or give $$$.

From the looks of your name, we must be in the same state....a lot of folks here in Mobile are going to FL to poll watch and have been going over on weekends to pass the word......I’ve made the phone calls to other states in the past but didn’t volunteer this time - got tired of having the phone hung up in my ear....LOL....

Google the email addresses of black churches in battleground states. Email a link to the You Tube video of the black preacher speaking the truth.

Do people like telemarketers, robo calls or solicitors invading their privacy? TV/internet ads are sadly effective due to short attention spans and expectations of knowing commercials are ingrained in ones entertainment/mass media/flyers.
Those who seek should be informed but those who value privacy after a long hard day at work need to be informed in the most subtle way possible. A phone call, message, or a knock on the door do not provide comfort to those who want to be left alone. Mass media exploitation is the most effective way to reach people, second only to personnel experiences. Why do you think mass propaganda is so effective?
Btw, how much of these GOP superstar consultants make? I know they earn their money destroying candidates who promote limited government and social responsibility, but have a hell of a time cracking the Party that promises more.

Get Out The Vote!

Senate and House control are just as important as the WH.
So is State and Local, as that foundation controls many agendas, today, and well into the future.

Do everything you can to keep the electoral college.
We are seeing a classic example of what would happen if just the popular vote were used to elect a presidenr.
Candidates would just campaign in the northeast and laft coast. Screw the rest of the country.

I was having the same thought just this morning out on my walk. There are quite a few Romney/Ryan yard signs, none for Obama, and one for Jill Stein(?). What could I do to help?
Oh, yes, and ROLL TIDE.
