"The Jerry Doyle Show The Jerry Doyle Show Published 1-Oct-2012 in TRN Central News
Central Point, OR Today begins the first in a series of changes to bring talk radio firmly into the 21st century. For too long, weve had to choose between ratings and salability, but no longer. Today the 6th largest syndicated talk show in America replaces what was the 3rd largest show, and in so doing, stations will get more light and less heat, a show that they can sell locally with pride, but also a show that will respect its stations, advertisers and audiences with a brilliance that sets great shows apart from good ones.
The show that premieres today in the 3pm to 6pm Pacific (6pm to 9pm Eastern) slot has earned its place in the Talkers Magazine rankings as the 6th largest syndicated talk radio show in America, through merit. TRN Enterprises owns no stations our shows have to earn their keep and stations love what this show does for them - through merit alone.
Today that show will jump several spots to become the new 3rd or 4th largest syndicated show in the United States.
Jet pilot, Wall Street investment banker for 10 years, Hollywood star for 12 years, former congressional nominee and now radio giant who has earned his right to this spot for close to 9 years. Jerry Doyle is the future of talk radio. He will bring massive audiences through word of mouth because he is brilliant and funny, showing both emotional and intellectual range that is beyond rare.
The Jerry Doyle Show is eminently saleable. He understands the advertising business like few others; Jerry is a triple-rated William Morris Agency voice-over artist who has voiced national ads for AT&T, Chevrolet, TGI Fridays, Anheiser-Busch, Panasonic, The US Armed Forces and many others.
Jerry will work with his stations reading their ads and promos, because he understands radio isnt about host ego, its about high levels of performance, and its about business.
Jerry shows up 5 days a week, 3 full hours a day because his work ethic is second to none.
Mark Masters, CEO of TRN Enterprises, notes that, Jerry Doyle is the vanguard of talk radios next evolutionary step, and he has been setting the standard for talk radios profitable, saleable and sustainable future for some time now, with commentary that is entertaining, memorable and responsible. Good work Jerry, as you jump from the 6th largest show to the 3rd largest show in America - you deserve this day you have earned it.

Yup! I sometimes tune in on the way to work but as you said ...very irritating. More oftenn than not I turn off tha radio and listen to the noise of the car engine.
Quakes all over the Pacific and IIRC a typhoon headed toward Japan....!
As referred to in the media we all love for their patriotic Americanism, it’s someone who drives a prius, admonishes their kids that guns and petroleum are bad, considers everyones culture “relevant”, deeply considers proper wealth redisribution, etc...
Jerry Doyle is great. I’ve met him in person, heard him talk about Babylon 5, other films (find out about the murder scene on the LA rooftop filming), etc.
But when it comes to politics and common sense, he rocks. Actually knows things and says them so that you can understand them in plain English.
Welcome back, Jerry. Missed you here in the East.
Maybe you can take over the Greta van Sustern Show. She is a bore. Then on to O’Reilly, the ego who never stops talking - Mr. Rude in a nice suit.
Take no prisoners, Jerry. We’re behind you all the way.
Trekkie Fan.
Oh, Jerry, the nuns did hear what you said at the Shore-Leave convention about 8 years ago.
Doyle has been on for years, heard him a few times. In Boston WRKO 680 had Savage at 7. Doyle delayed at 10. Now Levin at 7 then Doyle...BIll Wattenberg fill in

He can take him on; but he can't win.
Jerry Doyle terrific in explaining the finacial aspects of national policy. It’s not a consumer finance show.
“I have never heard him mention B5 once. Weird.”
Good. Maybe he got tired of it, or someone called him on it.
When he was on here in Dallas, it worked its way into every third sentence.
I have listened to Doyle on the LV radio channel KDWN and I like him.
Three full hours? Each and every day? Must be hell.
4.95$ for one show? Mike’s dreaming if he thinks people will pony up that much. If he wants to make money streaming, the way to do it is just like a car dealer: VOLUME, VOLUME, VOLUME! :-)
That comment was a dig at Savage who, for years, has only done the first two hours live with the third hour a mix of canned interviews, clips from previous shows and prerecorded comments. And who rarely managed to make it for a full five days per week.
This guy is Savage’s replacement, are they kidding us, I could barely make it through the first show, later WOR 710 AM. Doyle sounds like somebody who just broke into radio a few days ago.
There is no way this guy is going to pull the same ratings as Savage.
What happens now to Savage team members like Beowulf (producer) and Doug (call screener)? Do they get reassigned to Jerry Doyle who may already have his own staff?
Just something I’ve been thinking as that 1st Friday of the month Jobs Report looms.
No, I doubt that would happen, Doyle has his own staff. I’ll always be a Savage fan but I can’t figure out why in the heck he is charging 5 bucks for a 45 minute program, 5 or 10 bucks a month is cool but not for one program.
Somebody on another site said that O’Reilly took a shot at Savage on Fox and Friends the other day, did anyone hear what he said?
My favorite talkradio show is a local mid-morning show, called “Sound Off Connecticut With Jim Vicevich.” He is a conservatarian, a combination of conservative and libertarian. On WTIC AM, Hartford/Farmington, CT. If Jim did not have personal health issues to begin with, he would for certain would have gone national.
Rush would destroy him. Also Mark as well.
Jerry Doyle has been on the air for many years working for the same company as Michael Savage. Jerry is not a republican but more an independent. Two years ago he changed his voters registration to independent. This is Jerry (personally)in a nut shell. My brother lives next door to him and invited me to one of Jerry’s parties. Jerry had all walks of life at this party, from his UPS delivery guy to contractors, doctors, lawyers, and other radio personalities from the west coast. He was extremely polite and treated everyone as if they were all equals. His show is cutting edge in which much of it was stolen by Savage over the years. Jerry was on earlier than Savage and you would swear Savages show was a repeat of JD. Tune him in once and you’ll be hooked.
Savage to return 10/23 with new (to him) syndicator Cumulus Media. Slot will be 9 pm -mid ET according to All Access
