Just felt an earthquake here in Dallas and an aftershock...reports coming in all over the scanners and local media...
Here in royal and Webb chapel and we had the same thing happen.. house rattle hard and weird sound.. then walk outside and a few neighbors saying the same as us. Crazy.. woke up our kids..
Gekt it here in Dallas Forest and Webb Chappel.
I thought it was the white flight running north.
Here in Carrollton as well FRiend. Was watching football and didn’t feel a darn thing.
Dang...missed it again. Was driving to WalMart off of 75 and 635. I’m always in the car when these things happen.
How close are you to Southlake?
Carrollton where I live is about 20 miles from Southlake.
Someone needs to start a station on cable that shows nothing but news 24 hours a day. Probably won’t hear about till Monday when all the news casters are back from the Hampton’s.
If it were Monday night there would be no doubt.
We sure got a nice little bump, didn't we?
Thanks tflabo
:)
What the...? The Dallas Morning News???
(thump...)
maybe it was the crashing of the two giant limbs in our front yard....
3.4?
It’s a wonder anyone felt it.
Building shook. Son came running out of his office asking if I heard it. Dog was barking at the bathroom door where husband had entered a few moments before the shake. Son and I ran in the bathroom to see if husband was okay. Thoroughly ticked off husband who thought we were making fun of him for gaining weight. It didn’t help that son asked if he had farted.
Now I read we really DID have an earthquake. LOL
Walnut hill and Harry Hines
Not so much anymore. Now we jump to USGS' Did You Feel It? site and log what we felt. It generates some pretty cool shaking maps as a result.
Note. Not to be confused with "Oooh, baby, did you feel it too?"
3.4 is not an earthquake.
Rain isn’t an excuse for bedlam on the freeways and school closures, either.
It’s just a matter of familiarity.
It is in this part of Texas...we don’t get them around here like this. Up in Oklahoma sure....but it’s odd to get one in the mid-3’s in Dallas proper.
Felt nothing here in Flower Mound, but heard a odd slow rumble. I asked the wife if she heard thunder, been raining all day, but she wasn’t sure because no lightning.
