The wheels appear to be coming off a two week attempt by the Obama Administration to cover up its fatal security failures at our consulate in Libya and to cover up the very fact that this was a successful pre-planned terrorist attack that cost four American lives, including that of our Libyan Ambassador, Christopher Stevens.
Not only has the scandal picked up steam in the mainstream press (Jake Tapper's ABC News report tonight is a must-watch), but high-ranking members of the President's own party are now demanding answers. This includes the man most often cited as a likely Secretary of State should Obama win a second term, Senator John Kerry:
Senate Democrats joined Republicans Thursday in questioning the Obama administration's handling of the fatal Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya and why the administration refused for days to acknowledge that it was a terrorist attack linked to al Qaeda.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., circulated a bipartisan letter addressed to Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides, asking for an "accounting of the attacks against U.S. missions in Egypt, Libya and Yemen," according to a copy obtained by The Washington Examiner.

If everyone in the media were as honest as Jake Tapper Obama would have already been impeached. He lied, the ENTIRE Administration lied “Oh we dont have any credible information yet” so why did they scrub a memo from their web site showing they had a credible threat on September 6th?
Also, this whole lie that they have to “Investigate further” is one of the stupidest things Ive ever heard..let’s see, was the embassy struck by an earthquake, tornado, hurricane? Did a Mac truck hit the Embassy? No, No, No, and No, so if it wasn’t that and you have armed extremist thugs outside the embassy along with the Blind Sheikh’s son odds are this isn’t just some random gathering..but hey, the Obama Administration thinks we are a bunch of dummies, they have the media in their back pocket, they have ZERO fear of being caught
If there was indeed a coverup, would you not think something like this would be far worse than covering up a third rate burglarly - or at least worse than misspelling potatoe? I’m not holding my breath for the same kind of coverage...
The libs are going to blame the Tea Party, claiming the state department had to cut security funding. It’s someone else’s fault.

Flipping through the radio there was some guy - I thought he said he was with the Wall Street Journal(?) - talking about how the former SEALS with the ambassador weren’t there to protect him, but were there to recruit FOR the Taliban.
Sounds like nut-case talk, but..... I guess if one thinks that Kaudafi(sp?) is a bad-guy, and the Taliban can help with his overthrow one might be tempted. Although you’d think we’d have learned our lesson with 9/11.
