Flipping through the radio there was some guy - I thought he said he was with the Wall Street Journal(?) - talking about how the former SEALS with the ambassador weren’t there to protect him, but were there to recruit FOR the Taliban.

Sounds like nut-case talk, but..... I guess if one thinks that Kaudafi(sp?) is a bad-guy, and the Taliban can help with his overthrow one might be tempted. Although you’d think we’d have learned our lesson with 9/11.

The Taliban are in Afghanistan, not Libya.

The former SEALS were in country as part of the effort to track down MANPADS (stinger missile equivalents). They were not there as security. When the SHTF, they took up arms and did what SEALS do.
