When Obama was elected the average price of gasoline was $1.78, why is this not an issue? Where will the price of gasoline be in four years if Obama is elected. This is an issue that effects EVERYONE. Why isn't it discussed more?
I was on a job the other day and we dug up an old gas sign that had the price at $1.17 a gallon. The guys were all amazed “boy that dates ya”, “those were the days”...
I told them “Well, it was less than 4 years ago when the average price of gas was $1.78”.
“Huh?! No way - really? Wow!”
I didn’t press the point as they were my client, and liberal. But I imagine they understood.
If they loose this one the party is finished.
Every time I get gas, I just mention the price of gas to whomever happens to be pumping next to my car and just listen to the response.
The responses include everything from "That f###ing n#gg33 has got to go" to "We've got to change Presidents" but I've never had any one say, "It's not obama's fault".
The press is not saying a word about gas prices nor food prices but people that WORK TO EAT, and don't line up for their welfare EBT card know what is going on and we don't need no stinken msm to tell us that gas is $4 buck a gallon and double what it was when the one became the one.
I’m sure that Obama will say that it’s still Bush’s fault, since all his woes are still Bush’s fault even though he got everything he wanted in his first 2 years in office - now he blames congress, too. I don’t know why Romney doesn’t hit this in every speech, over and over. He needs to offer real solutions, though, not just complaints.
funny how he nationalizred the auto ind, yet didnt nationalize refineries - one aids him, the other helps collapse the system through his destabilizing statesmanship
Would the price of gas be this high if McLame had won, though? I don’t think so.
Because 47% of the people pay for it with “government” money.
Don’t want to alarm them.
It is not a issue because Great Leader has not inicated it to be an issue. Only those items important to Great Leader are issues. After Great Leader leaves office the issues will be reevaluated.
“Why Isn’t the Price Of Gasoline a Campaign Issue?”
Why hasn’t Obama’s foreign policy of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood?
Why hasn’t Obama’s socialism?
Why hasn’t Obama’s past Commie backrground?
Why hasn’t there been a demand for Bam’s college transcripts & writings?
Why hasn’t the issue of who and how he paid for tuition?
Why hasn’t he released records pertaining to fast and furious?
Why hasn’t he acted to prevent Iran from getting nukes?
Why hasn’t he acted to provide jobs?
Why did Obama vote to KILL babies who survived abortion?
All these and many more questions could be become campaign issues but our wimpy candidate and his advisors are afraid and have no cajones.
Everyone cares about the price of gasoline. Everyone.
A big part of the problem is that the media knows that the “citizens” are too stupid and ignorant to understand the issue. I have run across so many in this rural county in which I live who have no idea as to what influences gas prices. I think that they think they are decreed by natural forces they cannot comprehend. Stupid and indifferent beyong belief.
Bingo. Ditto here in the "big city."
My cousin lives in the Georgetown neighborhood there. Two year ago she paid 800 grand for a house that MIGHT be 40 grand here in Indiana.
So the folks in DC probably aren’t as concerned as us in the heartland. All I saw walking around downtown was guys in 1000 dollar suits and women in 400 dollar dresses and 400 dollar shoes.
Don’t you think it would be wise for the Romney campaign to harp on this over and over until people DO understand?
Yes, I do. But they would have to explain it on a fifth-grade level and even then, many would not understand.
I’ve often thought that economics should be taught in the elementary schools or high schools. So many people do not understand the forces of supply and demand.
Because 0bama's a Democrat...
Agreed. But it is up to ROMNEY to bring it up! This is a winning issue. He needs a better strategy.
Obama’s energy Czar wants $8.00 per gallon gas prices as he has stated. He is almost there.
