A Libyan security guard who said he was outside the U.S. Consulate when it was attacked Tuesday night has provided new evidence that the assault that left four Americans dead, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, was a planned attack by armed Islamists and not the result of anger over an online video that mocks Islam and its founder, Muhammad.
The guard was interviewed Thursday in the hospital where he is being treated for five shrapnel wounds in one leg and two bullet wounds in the other.
He said that the consulate area was quiet -- "there wasn't a single ant outside" -- until about 9:35 p.m., when up to 125 armed men descended on the compound from all directions.
The men lobbed grenades into the compound, wounding the guard and knocking him to the ground, then stormed through the main gate, shouting "God is great" and moving to one of the many villas that make up the complex.
He said they struck without warning.
"Wouldn't you expect if there were protesters outside that the Americans would leave?" the guard said.

It sounds from this guard’s testimony that the attackers after lobbing grenades over the wall rushed through the gate and directly into the buildings encountering no resistance.
If that’s the case then the story about Stevens dying from smoke inhalation is incorrect. The pictures of him don’t seem to indicate that and the whole storyline didn’t make a whole lot of sense. He was taken alive, tortured and then paraded around through the crowd.
Madame Secretary’s story about what happened is pure fiction.
If we had a Republican president there would be demands for congressional hearings into this, and those demands would be coming from both parties.
But we have a Democrat affirmative-action president, so that's not going to happen.
I’m wondering how the marines/guard survived. I’d think they’d be the first taken out, especially since they were disarmed.
In order to time the attack with the protest in Egypt, Hillary had to send Steven's there on that day.

Other reports state that the Marines were dispatched to the nearby safe house to help evacuate the consulate staff who managed to escape from the consulate, and were killed at a second battle there. One report stated that the deaths at the safe house resulted from a mortar barrage, other reports say there was an RPG and gun battle.
There may not have been any Marines at the consulate itself.
There were zero marines at the Libyan consulate from what I understand. Some American forces died in attempts to get the remaining Americans out in a rescue mission.

I've never been as disgusted with the media as I am now. We had American citizens murdered and on the whole these so called journalists just don't care.
Even Greta had a segment on the actions of the media getting together to ask Romney the same question over and over again. The consensus was that it was no big deal.
She purposely missed the point that the press didn't want to cover what happened to these Americans. There were plenty of questions they could have asked Romney, but they were afraid that it might make him look presidential. I am not a fan of Romney's but it was one of the best statements he has given so far on anything.

The Lybian consulate that was burned had no Marine security detachment. Two mercs - former SEALS - were killed defending the place. Our embassy in Cairo has bullet-less Marines, thanks to ambassador Anne Patterson. So, the Lybian consulate had NO Marines and the Egyptian embassay had Marines with empty magazines in their rifles. It’s the new Chicago Way.
