Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day.
Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year.
What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches? says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portlands Cully neighborhood.
Another way would be to say: Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that? Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.

I just tell folks 'if you breathe air these days, you're racist' and keep on truckin' with whatever I'm talking about. It used to mean something if you were 'racist' ... now, it means virtually nothing .... other than you're not an Obama butt-kisser.
This is Portland, Oregon. In this state, there are special schools for the instruction of stupid commicrat libs. They are called “colleges.”

You forgot that the Hawaiian Islands were once called The Sandwich Islands......
But the beach must be racist, too, because of all the sand which is there.......

“Jam Up And Jelly Tight”
Jam up and jelly tight
My, my, my baby
Now you’re outta sight
Jam up and jelly tight
You look a little naughty
But you’re so polite
Jam up and jelly tight
You won’t say you will but
There’s a chance that you might
I said the first day I met you
Someday I’m gonna pet you
Now you’re here and baby I love it
So come on and give me some lovin
Jam up and jelly tight
Jam up and jelly tight
You’ve got a sweet disposition
So come on and give me permission
For one kiss and maybe another
You’ll see we were meant for each other
Jam up and jelly tight
My lunch was a PB&J on wheat bread and I drank chocolate milk with it. I’m so confused now.
Mayo is the ULTIMATE racist food!!
bkmk
My sister's mother in law in North Carolina gave us those sandwiches alot when we stopped by visiting near noon time with our parents...my hubby and son loves peanut butter and jelly; not me..My hubby makes five slices for a 1 stack sandwiches with PB & J -...well..he has not here lately since he is on his diet again ..I love Reese cups ...
LOL,x! The Subway ad translates to “Rich (delicious)- and without guilt!” Hilarious on SO many levels.
Well, the only answer to this Racistamerica problem is to end public schools and give the anti-sandwich tribe private school vouchers.

I’m picking up that Verenice is a jackass.
What about mayonnaise and horseradish sauce?
How hard must it be for people to walk around perpetually looking for things to be offended by? What miserable people they must be.
As for the commentary regarding "how does a Somali relate to a PB&J"..... if they're here in America, they must want to enjoy America, all of her people, and all of her customs. If they don't know the customs, they can learn. If they don't like the customs, they can leave.
