Military: The administration thanks the troops for their service by failing to comply with a law requiring that it help soldiers deployed overseas cast ballots in their home states.
The administration has taken various states to court to block voter ID laws on the grounds it will disenfranchise voters. But it has no qualms about the disenfranchisement of military voters overseas through its failure to comply with and enforce the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, passed by Congress in 2009 and signed into law by President Barack Obama.
The law acknowledges the difficulties caused by time and distance for deployed soldiers in exercising the right to vote they put their lives on the line to protect. One of the key provisions required each military branch to create an installation voting assistance office (IVAO) for every military base outside an immediate combat zone.
Last week, however, the Pentagon's inspector general reported that attempts to locate and contact IVAO offices at overseas military installations failed about half the time.
"Results were clear. Our attempts to contact IVAOs failed about 50% of the time," the inspector general reported. "We concluded the Services had not established all the IVAOs as intended by the MOVE Act because, among other issues, the funding was not available."

The military should simply seize the ballots and deliver them to the troops, and then deliver them back to the appropriate county elections offices. The administration can go to hell.
This breaks my heart. It’s a travesty. I don’t understand why they can’t get early ballots to these men and women and get them back in time. We can cart sorry politicans’ asses all over this country at the drop of a hat, but we can’t expend the energy to see that these people gets their votes counted. SMH
Then I say the families of those soldiers risking their lives for this country VOTE in proxy for their spouses who are disfranchised and are serving overseas!! IF I had a husband, wife, son or daughter in the military and he/she were denied the privilege of voting I would go and vote in his/her behalf...Yes, I would do a double vote. I wouldn’t care if I ended up in jail!! I would do it!! I swear I would do it!! Fudge the RATS!!

I agree! These men and women did not lose their citizenship when they became a part of the Armed Forces. They gave up many of their other civil rights BUT NOT THAT ONE!
Of course this is from the same Commander in Chief who doesn’t know who to pronounce corpsman, and whose only way of “honoring” D-day was to attend fundraisers. He is the only President to not honor D-day. He also prevented Vietnam veterans, their families, and their friends from visiting the Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day for seven hours so he could have his picture taken.
Or maybe the statist pigs have already thought of that?
Fighting so illegals can vote while US soldiers are disenfranchised.....
Happens every election, in at least some parts of the country.
This should be brought up ASAP and firmly in debate Number 1. If the GOP has the nuts to do it.
Ping
Obama seems to be bent on evil here. He knows the military will NOT vote for him.

Minneapolis Moonbats will disagree with that. The moonbat view is that anyone with a military background should be excluded from the political process. That line was put forth when Coleen Rowley (D) was running against incumbent John Kline (R) for the 1ns Congressional District.
Of course they would make exceptions for the likes of Murtha-(censored).
For later
Romney should trumpet this far and wide until Barry is shamed into getting the ballots out and back.
PING!
I wish TGO would scream this from the rafters on his program!
