Canada is just getting ready for the inevitable Israeli strike and not be complacent like we were in 1979.

Whoa, hugh and series. The Canadian Embassy played an important role during Carter’s hostage crisis. And now even the tolerant Canucks have had enough? Or did they receive “a word to the wise ...”

It will be most telling if the Canadian DiploPersians actually return to Iran during the next five days. We may not hear but these are prominent guys and their presence in a “layover” country will most likely be noted. If Canucks happen to wind up as hostages these nimrods will feel a cold wind up their plumbercracks.

You can be sure that Harper’s government is not only watching everything that happens regarding Iran in the Middle East, they very likely have Iranian groups inside Canada under surveillance because as a solid ally of Israel, Canada would be a prime target for those little Persian pricks when Netanyahu pulls the trigger on Iran.

As for the timing of the Israeli strike, Netanyahu will determine that primarily based on the odds of success, with political considerations so far as the U.S. election lower on the list of priorities. Bibi is a realist, he recognizes that 0bama and his lying goons are not to be trusted and I think it is a safe bet that he holds those bastards in utter contempt.

Bibi is in good company, SO DO WE!

Strange that Canada would cite Iran's participation in the Syrian conflict. The Assad government is integral to Iranian national security. NATO doctrine may contain a threat assessment tripwire that Iran's WMD programs alone don't reach. But if you add Iranian troops fighting outside their own border the test for NATO action is satisfied. I'm just speculating but if Obama planned an October surprise having Europe in his corner would be a big help.

Haaretz is quoting Def Min Ehud Barak as moving away from a unilateral attack on Iran. There may be some significant division between the hawkish Bibi and Barak. If so, there will be no attack until the internal differences are resolved. Acting without Barak’s support destroys the ruling coalition and throws everything into question. Barak is genuinely seen as an Israeli military hero and even a personage as large and historic as Bibi would be unlikely to ignore him on so vital a matter.

Probably a very good idea. At least we don’t have one to close.

Great. Does Canada happen to have any aircraft or helicarriers? If the US doesn’t have our (Israel’s) back, we’ll take what we can get.
