Charlotte, N.C. -- "First shot, straight through, that's how you perform under pressure." said Barack Obama said in 2008. They played the quote with a video clip of Obama making a basket at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.
Obama knew how to make it look easy, even though it wasn't.
. . .Barack Obama is not backing down. He is not moving to the center. He is not going to reach across the aisle. He is not going to try to unite the country.
This convention was on fire because the Democratic base knows: One way or another, he's all in.

Obama: Vote for me because there are still some of you who think you have have to work for a living
If we can’t defeat this guy, we deserve him.
There’s certainly no illusion of “moderation” about Baraq 2012, if America votes him in, the US has permanently changed.
Yeah, the base loved it.
But the middle is turned off.
Clint Eastwood spoke for the middle.
Obama is holding a 2 and a 5.
I forget where I read it, but some foreign newspaper / official / something said that the scary thing about this administration wasn't Barack Obama, but that the American people could actually elect such a man.
The convention hall was filled with leftist lemmings who are willing to go charging off of the cliff with their Beloved Leader.
The brain trust, however, will bail out. Liberalism will have to be salvaged to these select few and that means throwing Obama under the bus if he is in jeopardy of losing to Romney.
Editorial in a Czech paper, couple years ago.
Barack Obama is not backing down. He is not moving to the center. He is not going to reach across the aisle. He is not going to try to unite the country.
This convention was on fire because the Democratic base knows: One way or another, he’s all in.( yep)

Hes bent on destroying the neo colonial culture of the United States and its capitalist economy. He certainly is ALL IN.
And we will but him ALL OUT!
“If we cant defeat this guy, we deserve him”
I agree. I think he’ll lose. I don’t understand the closeness of the polls now.
Now that the conventions are over the competition starts in earnest. I’m optimistic.
That is a great statement. and a fact.Obama is just the boil, the people that elect him are the pus in that boil.
Its all in the sample used to create the poll results. Quite simply, they are oversampling Democrats at +6, +9, and sometimes +10. But the results are the same.
Obama knows this. So does Romney.
As time goes on, they need more and more Democrats in the polls just to keep Obama competitive.
Obama knows this. So does Romney
Maybe some truth to this with his plea to in effect get out the vote for him
“Quite simply, they are oversampling Democrats”
The oversampling is supposed to reflect the fact that in the past election, a higher proportion of Democrats turned out to vote than Republicans. Is that correct?
If so then the oversampling concept is valid, correct?
But one can argue whether the amount of oversampling used in current polling is realistic. It’s possible that in the upcoming election Republican voter turnout will be higher than Democratic, in which case they should be oversampling Republicans.
Yes, but not by 6, 8, or 10 points. If you look at the polls, if they oversample by three or four (which is the traditional number) then Romney is up by one.
Some polls they oversample by 10 now and put Obama up by *one*.
It is almost as if the pollsters are being paid to find data to fit a desired result.
