...Mark Alan Siegel, the Palm Beach County Democrat Chairman spoke with Scottie Hughes of Patriot TV and made some rather pointed and anti-Christian statements. Mr. Siegel was wearing a “Jews for Obama” pin. Ms. Hughes spotted the pin and asked the chairman about his support for Obama despite the administration’s record with Israel.

Here are a couple of the offensive comments made by the Palm Beach Democratic Chairman:

“I’m Jewish, I’m not a fan of any other religion than Judaism.”

“The worst possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians who want Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the second coming of their Lord.”

Just read the article and surprised so many replies were complaining about Christian zionism. What is that?

Also, what is the problem with American liberal Jews? I don't get their thinking. While being a supporter of the free and open state of Israel, I don't get why Jews vote for socialists like Obambi. Didn't they get a clue with a guy named Adolph and his socialist/totalitarian mindset? I really don't get it. Do you?

I’ll have you know that I fought several attempts at conversion from faux conservatives on this site. All these trolls are just that — trolls designed to make us fight with one another. They positively freak out when you remind them what conservative principles are when it comes to religion.

Attempts to persuade in a polite and non-coercive manner should be taken in the spirit in which it is done: as an expression of love and an attempt to enhance the recipient's chances of achieving Heaven. Even though you disagree.

I can’t speak for evangelical Christians- but I can speak for an old-fashioned Episcopalian (before our church went haywire). My love and respect for Jews is undying. OK I'm going to embrace Conservative Jews on this site but I'm also going to embrace all Jews. We “fundamentalists” have done such historical harm to our Jewish brethren. Last night when my daughter called and told me about the interview she did with Mr. Siegel and all the hoopla that was going on, I wept. It was very ironic that Scottie, who has been raised in a Messianic home where we have celebrated Passover for the last 22 years, came face to face with this man's anger and hate in her interview with him at the DNC.

I heard this exact argument Mr. Siegel put forth from my best friend, a liberal Democrat Jewess, fifteen years ago. It's an old, common and trite argument but one that is held by many liberal Jews. It has taken my friend 15 years to trust my fundamentalist Christian witness and yet last week she called me a murderer saying I would shoot an illegal immigrant to keep them out of the country. I gave her no reason to say that and was appalled that she would accuse me of something I would not nor could not ever do. So I've learned to take the “Jewish anger” and deflect it with compassion because if I would have walked in their shoes, I too might be saying irrational things.
Please pray for my daughter that this video be used to lance the boil of hatred that brews just beneath the surface in so many Jewish and Christian people's hearts.

Next time someone tries to “convert” you remind them that you are still in covenant with God. It was the House of Israel, the ten northern tribes God divorced as explained in the book of Hosea. Israel was scattered but Judah was kept in tact and in covenant. That covenant has never been broke. So Judah, the Jews, are Covenant people. It was the gentiles who had to make a covenant to come into relationship with God.

Some people just don't read the Tenach/Old Testament...it's all right there. So how can you convert? You are already in Covenant. (she says running for cover) but it's all there in the Tenach/O.T. if you choose to read it.
