I voted, yes, I liked/ enjoyed it.
It was my fave part of the night to be candid.
This is Mr. Eastwood’s finest moment. He took Obama apart with humor and as a result Obama is now an object of ridicule.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

An empty chair is the perfect place for an empty suit.
The Emperor has no clothes!
LOVED it! And would like to see people all across the country stick an empty chair in their front yard - a la Wag the Dog and the shoes bit. That would really get under Obama’s skin!
When I watched it, I thought it was poor. My wife, who’s very liberal, also thought it was poor.
In my opinion, Eastwood’s speech was more scripted than we were led to believe. The purpose was to give the impression that Eastwood was a senile, crusty old man who had no ability to make a coherent thought. The idea of him talking to an empty chair was to give the impression that Eastwood was even schizophrenic and hallucinating Obama sitting there. It was all apart of the effect.
Eastwood delivered his lines masterfully. Each sentence was a blowtorch cremating Obama. When the protester started making noise, Eastwood did not hesitate, “Go ahead and make my day!” He got the crowd to give the last words of the line. Acting like an age-addled “movie tradesman,” he was on top of his game. When the crowd brought down the house in adulation, he said “Save a little for Mitt.” His mind was spontaneous and quick. However, the effect he wanted to make was even a 81 yr old man can figure out that “when someone cannot do the job, we got to let them go.”
Eastwood gave the good, the bad and the ugly. The good thing is we are the owners of this country. The bad thing (for Obama) is that Obama is our employee. And the ugly thing is we got to let Obama go.
In the end, Eastwood’s searing lines made one thing perfectly clear, in November, Obama is toast.
See, I figure that they missed a bet with the empty chair. It should have been an empty suit!

I see the media is reporting that Clint took twice as long as he was given and ignored the red light and that the Romney campaign was not happy with it (off record of course).
I did see Morning Joe interview a few Republicans Friday Morning and none of them were enthused about it. Thursday night the last night was supposed to be a bunch of drama pieces to make you cry and then here comes Clint and makes us laugh,
Al Sharpton was outraged at Clint's disrespect of Obama. And upset Romney sent out a message that he was laughing watching it (smart move.) I call that the seal of approval.
Clint Eastwood is legendary as a man of few words in his Spaghetti westerns as well as in real life. For him to get his frustration as a patriotic American across in the form of a schtick speaks volumes.
Made My Day!
The question BO has to be thinking about is - “do I feel lucky?”
Well do you? Punk!

First, thanks for posting.
Clint did not deliver a speech, he spoke to US with no teleprompter, like 99% of the other people that marched across the RNC stage. That was the part that most appealed to me, he did not have to READ every line, he SPOKE to US. For sure was not a speech.
The only improvement that I could offer to Rowdy would have been to have an empty golfer attire laying across the chair with a bag of golf clubs next to the chair and possibly some freshly printed Bens and EBIT cards scattered about on the floor. That would have finished the prop off.
The empty lies from an empty suit from an empty headed usurper have been exposed. It is just a matter of time before the empty headed _Resident goes over the cliff (like our economy) and pulls the lever on martial law. Hang on Citizens, it is going to be a bumpy ride.....keep your powder dry.
