I’m the first to admit that Mitt Romney wasn’t my first choice for president. I think the majority of the Republican Party was with me on this one. I was on the Rick Perry train, which turned out t be an epic failure. However, the primaries are over and Mitt came out on top. However, given that a lot of conservatives may still be suspicious of Romney’s shoddy conservative credentials, it doesn’t help that the RNC goodie bag contains a copy of his book No Apologies, which endorses his decision, as Governor of Massachusetts, to institute an individual mandate on health insurance.
As Philip Klein of The Washington Examiner wrote:
All credentialed media checking into the Republican National Convention are being given a swag bag featuring brochures and items from various sponsors such as sunglasses and a pocket fan. But the bag also contains a copy of the original hardcover version of Mitt Romney’s book, No Apology, in which he suggested his approach to health care in Massachusetts could be accomplished in the rest of the country.
The allusion was later altered for the paperback version of the book, a change that became a contentious issue during the Republican primary.
On page 177 of the hardcover version of No Apology that’s being given out at the RNC, Romney describes his Massachusetts health care law and writes: ‘We can accomplish the same thing for everyone in the country, and it can be done without letting government take over health care.’
Ben Domenech of RedState and The Heartland Institute, mentioned on GBTV that Romneycare hasn’t curbed premiums and will consume 50% of the Massachusetts state budget by 2020.

The people of Massachusetts wanted state healthcare....they voted for it.
Willard has made it abundantly clear he wants to replace ObamaCare with RomneyCare.
The only difference will be he’ll let states op-out if that’s what they want. Hopefully Congress will challenge him on RomneyCare and this socialized medicine talk will be over.

During the time of the Florida primary, he selected a political woman to head his healthcare group to encourage states to start healhcare like Mass. did.
When he says “repeal and replace” Obamacare, he means have the states ration healthcare rather than the federal govn.
Republicans don’t care, just elect him no matter what his plans are.

Yes Rommney doesn’t promise to repeal Obamacare. He promises to “Repeal and Replace” Obamacare.
In otherwords, he’ll probably change the mandate from a tax penalty, to raising the general tax rate and giving you a tax credit. Same difference, just semantics, but we are use to tax credits.
He’ll also make it a volutary state program instead of a federal program. However the federal purse strings will make it hard for any state to refuse.
But apparently Republicans want this. After all it was Republicans who put in the expensive Drug Prescription plans. And Republicans knew what Romney was about before the primary.
Obamacare/Romneycare does solve part of one problem that I think does need to be addressed. The mandate that poviders provide care to indigents without compensation is an unconstitutional taking of private property. By forcing everyone who can afford to have insurance, to have insurance, it should reduce this unconstitutional taking.
I’m super conservative. I’ve not been a fan of Romney for sometime. I find stuff worthy of mentioning/posting since nobody else will mention it. I’m sure you work for the Republican National Committee.

The other difference is that he will not bypass the Congress we will fill with Conservatives like Obama has done repeatedly.
The state of Massachusetts got what it wanted. The rest of of rhw country, at least flyover country, don’t want it. So it is not enough to replace Obamacare with Romneycare if that is the plan.
Right now we have the power to increase our presence in Congress.
Repeal and Replace he said it again last night. Pam Bondie tipped us off when she let it slip that she would be helping institute Romney Care nation wide.
So lighten up Johnnie you are beating the wrong dead horse on this one.

GOP chose another establishment RINO candidate. I don’t really know who can get behind Romney, if he is all over the place and just says what people want to hear. The upcoming election is going to be Obama vs. Obama lite.
He really said, in a book that he’s handing out at the RNC convention, that he would support a nationwide individual healthcare mandate? Disappointing. I guess this is why so many people are saying now that the Republican party is tearing itself apart. The Tea Party lost this one, big time. We did well in 2010, but then we petered out, and gave in to the big, corrupt party establishment.
And why not? The kenyan claimed the power and Congress approved by not voicing even a murmur against it.A president will use the powers he has. The Presidency now includes the power to rule by decree. One president has done it without objection. It is set in concrete. Elections are no longer about contrasting ideologies but about electing our guy instead of their guy. The de facto power of Decree will complete the rendering elections irrelevant soon enough.
