Here are excerpts of the remarks Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney plans to deliver this evening in Tampa, Florida:
Four years ago, I know that many Americans felt a fresh excitement about the possibilities of a new president. That president was not the choice of our party but Americans always come together after elections. We are a good and generous people who are united by so much more than divides us.
When that hard fought election was over, when the yard signs came down and the television commercials finally came off the air, Americans were eager to go back to work, to live our lives the way Americans always have optimistic and positive and confident in the future.
That very optimism is uniquely American.
It is what brought us to America. We are a nation of immigrants. We are the children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the ones who wanted a better life, the driven ones, the ones who woke up at night hearing that voice telling them that life in that place called America could be better.
They came not just in pursuit of the riches of this world but for the richness of this life.

Every family in America wanted this to be a time when they could get ahead a little more, put aside a little more for college, do more for their elderly mom whos living alone now or give a little more to their church or charity.

Looking forward to seeing our Communist In Chief and his nasty, classless wife removed from the White House....
Could we compromise on just leaving the office empty for four years ;-)
Correct, and we have to fight to keep Romney from totally breaking conservatism, which is his lifelong goal.
I am voting for Romney, but I didn’t vote for any Bush, McCain or Dole! Mine is NOT one of those reliable votes you refer to.
The wussy should be canned for that alone.
HE NEEDS TO GO!
Tell us about bam’s military service...
Where is your evidence that bam is, in fact, a Christian?

I already gave the Romney family history in post 6.
I will add a powerfully significant note to it.
As a white Mormon, Mitt Romney was given a draft deferment by his church (they were in charge of their own deferments, and would submit them to the draft board), a draft deferment forbidden to black Mormons, no black Mormon could receive a draft exemption from Romney’s religion.
Black Mormons were not allowed Mormon draft deferments, they went to war.
There will be several more choices on my ballot.
I don't expect I'll be voting for any kind of liberal.

Put up or shut up. Vote for Obama. It’s what you want to do. Just do it. Channel your inner socialist. Given the standard you set, no candidate since about 1860 has been conservative enough. You want a candidate that not only doesn’t exist but has never existed. Reagan would certainly have failed the test. Which begs the question... What candidate has ever been good enough for you, ever? I’m serious. Who?
So you’re willing to let America die to prove... What?
A communist or a Mormon.
A COMMUNIST or a mormon.
Communist and moron is redundant.
I think we were asked to stop that kind of attack on those that we disagree with.

Unless your family was aboriginal, they immigrated from somewhere.

“aboriginal” ?????
WOW n00bie..
Is that your term for Native Americans ???
My family arrived here in 1623 ...
mmore than 200 years before Willards did...
They didnt immigrate either...
They merely came to a Dutch colony from The Netherlands..
Like going to like in Puerto Rico...
No immigration involved...
And thanks...
I was thinking Willard didnt mention his beloved illegal aliens...
but he did after all...
“a narion of immigrates” is a favorite phrase amongst the AMNESTY Bill crowd ...
Boehner was obviously drunk when he did the closing.
