New York Times Editor: Ann Romney 'Slipped The Knife' Into President Obama

TAMPA, Florida | August 29, 2012: To Republicans in the RNC convention hall last night, and surely to the majority of Americans watching at home, regardless of their politics, Ann Romney came across as a warm, kind and caring woman.

But the editors of the New York Times occupy a very different universe. In a nasty piece of work this morning, editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal painted an ugly picture of Ann Romney. Using the most violent of metaphors, Rosenthal saw a woman who, of all things, had "slipped a knife into President Obama." More after the jump.

This is my problem with the convention. I know security is important, but they need to fill those seats. I know there are plenty of people who would love to be there, so why not let them go. It makes us look bad not having enough people there.

Yes, Obama does this all the time and the media ensure that no photos of empty seats at his events are ever shown.

Although the case at this convention may probably be that the seats are already purchased and the occupant could not attend for some reason. I would imagine that security issues would have prevented filling the empty seats with someone else.

I recall hearing not long ago that Juan’s son is a Republican. Interesting if true, but I’m sure he’s proud of him just the same. Juan seems like a decent guy but like all lefties he gets caught up in the notorious liberal tactic of stereotyping people.

Good point,the left will try and "capitalize" on any short comings we have,in the end they will still lose.Very few of our speakers had a good command of the audience last night another key component of a good convention.Even so we kicked some serious ass last night!

Hopefully we won't have any muzzie prayers at our convention.If Ann didn't sew it up last night the left's muzzie prayers sure as hell will.

Her speech was a good beginning but more must be done. She will be traveling with Romney and also out on her own and it is these later appearances, if handled properly which will seal the deal with women.

Ann Romney is everything the Left despises in a Republican woman. She is beautiful, smart and speaks well. The more different venues she appears and speaks in the better it will be for Romney. It is not necessary for Romney to surpass Obama in the women's vote, all he needs to do is stay close say within 4-5 points.
