Tropical Storm Isaac threatens to dampen the Republican National Convention Monday in Tampa, Florida. National media outlets are having a grand time anticipating a Grand Old Party washout. Tampa mayor Bob Buckhorn (D) announced Wednesday that he is absolutely prepared to call off the convention next week, with anticipated attendance of 70,000 delegates, party officials, journalists, protesters and others. Buckhorn has not indicated that he would attempt to mitigate liberal protests or a hastily planned Joe "Plugs" Biden visit to Tampa during the convention.
Time will tell. Stay tuned...

Thanks so much from here in Jax Fl!
I have my battery-Led Lanterns ready, rubber boots for taking doggie out in the downpour...hmm, maybe get some water bottles and eat some of this frozne food. ha.
but predicting landfall is as mathematically challenged as is the lottery at this point
.
They had to cancel the “Conservatives for Ryan” parade in Key West.
awww .... all dressed up an no place to go
.
Watching the Weather Channel and reporters are reporting in Key West in rainsuits and there’s no rain! Sheesh! That said, it is showing a system ahead of Isaac that is dumping a good bit of rain on South Florida. Prelim to Isaac, I guess.
Yeah for sure. Washerwoman and the bad solenoid are about the two worst of the dem wenches. Of course there is san fran nan,a real piece of work as well.
We are getting some pretty good stuff from the city of Islamorada. Kinda shows a land hit near or between Big Pine and Sugarloaf if you wanted to try and pin point it which is fruitless at this point. Even a wobble can change all that.
I was told that what we are getting now is not feeder bands but left over stuff from a stalled front.
Yeah shes a budding Washerwoman the DNC chair a real Beoach.
Now I am confused I know I just heard Stephany Abrams who is in Key West state that what we are getting this morning is not from Issac.Whatever. We have to be on our toes from here on.
NO problem.
Exactly Elle, even a wobble can change everything especially only hours before it hits.
Does anyone know how big the eye actually is?
Hey that’s all right. We got our Herman Cain event in on Tuesday night at the Double Tree Inn in Key West. It was awesome as well!
Out of curiosity I have recorded the early morning Weather Channels broadcast up here in Alaska while I was sleeping and it does appear that all the rain you are getting isn’t from Isaac.
The real rain is coming, might be some record rainfall in a lot of places.
Bastardi had a tweet'd track pic last evening suggesting a Cat 2/3 storm as it hit the Keys... now looking like it could do at least that if Cuba is missed all together... he had it slightly west then... now moving more easterly and suggesting 970 mb storm. He will be on Fox News Channel at 11am EDT this morning.
All interests in the Florida Keys: you've got 36 hours to get ready!
Surge issues may be noteworthy in the upper Keys since the current projections take it into the Keys at almost a right angle to land.... that could easily overwash some of the islands... say from Marathon to Islamorada.
As for the pressure? Give it until Sunday.... Issac's gotta clear Hispanola first.
right now its calm in Islamorada around marker 86,which is 86 miles from where Stephany Abrams is at the Southernmost buoy in Key West.An hour ago it was howling.
My son -in-law is referencing the same thing.I will stay informed. These things love to get unpredictable when they hit the straits.
Hurricane Warning
Statement as of 9:11 AM EDT on August 25, 2012
...Monroe County emergency management officials are urging
visitors to leave the Keys if they have the means to do so
safely. For those that cannot... officials are directing them
to stay inside during the storm.
I’ll just say that Bastardi is not a fav among everyone.for this thing to go from a weak # 1 at 80 knots as Karl on the weather channel just got through forecasting a hit on the lower Keys at 80 mph.For that to go to a three would be really bad forecasting on the part of NOAA.Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely,I hope not.
