Obama the capitalism-hating, liberty-hating, America-hating, godless Marxist/communist must be completely destroyed politically!! To allow him another term in the presidency would be to allow the total destruction of America.
As much as I detest what the Republican party has become, there is no other party on this earth that can come anywhere close to accomplishing what must be accomplished to keep America from spiraling down a Marxist/communist toilet.
Obama and his Marxist government must not only be defeated, they must be crushed and totally destroyed!! We must pray that God Almighty Himself moves Heaven and Earth to rid our government of this unholy, filthy, communist scum that has infested the democrat party, our government and our society!! And we know that God will not do that. He leaves these earthly tasks to us. It's OUR country and if we wish to keep it, we must move the mountains ourselves and do whatever it takes with whomever we have to get the job done!!
America will NOT go down without a fight!! Free Republic will not standby and do nothing while Obama destroys everything we hold dear!!
Damn Romney and his RINO history! Damn the GOPe for making this fight twice as hard as it should be! ANY Republican with a halfway decent record would crush Obama like the vermin he is. Well by God, if it has to be Romney, that SOB better grow a pair and he'd better get his butt in gear and fight like there's no tomorrow, because there's not!! This is do or die time!! And Rove had better turn out to be at least half as smart as he thinks he is. He engineered it. Now by golly, make it HAPPEN!! And our friends Hannity, Coulter, Rush, Levin, et al, had better start cranking it up another notch. The tea party is ready to rumble. The tea party sweeps of 2010 was just a warm-up for the tea party flood of 2012 that's going to wash America clean of godless communist/unionist scum from sea to shining sea.
We are going to send that paper hanging SOB packing and then we're going to rip out all his Marxist B/S by the roots and fumigate the ground so it can never grow again!!
All Republicans, independents, grassroots conservatives, tea party members, moderates, Reagan democrats, Christians, Jews, life, family, liberty, decency-loving patriots of any stripe must work like the blazes for the next couple of months and then turnout on election day and drag their friends, relatives and co-workers to the polls to vote that communist bastard and as many godless, liberty-hating, capitalism-hating, God-hating, liberal progressive, corrupt Marxist communists bastards the hell OUT as is humanly possible!!
We'll deal with Romney and the RINOS later.
Let the wailing and weeping commence. I've spent the last sleepless night over this miserable situation that I'm going to spend. I love America, Life and Liberty too much to let it fail.

I have read some, and you are correct about it being more the way it is presented as well as the sheer volume of the same posts.
I never said that Mormonism is for me, I myself am Roman Catholic, but sometimes a quiet word or two does far more than loud incessant berating and brow beating. After a while, you just don't listen. And thank you for being civil.
I was raised RC. Now I am lapsed. However most of my personal beliefs are still RC. I have a ton of problems with MR, enough to rule him out, long before his faith. But knowing what I know of it, it is another reason to vote elsewhere.
That said, Faith informs everything we do. 24/7. We may not always adhere to it, but it is always there in our mind and has an effect.
Do I think Mormons are jihadistic Muslims? No. Not at all. I believe many are great people in many ways. But I do not want them in charge of the country. In the personage of one man or the entire LDS church. Because it is my belief, based on their writings, that their intent is not one that is constitutionally viable.
Whether or not they burn in hell is not on my radar. I simply don’t care. Their beliefs are their own. And again, it’s their beliefs that are a problem for representing the country. IMO - which is all I have to offer. Well, that and my intent to vote elsewhere.
Because there's at least a little overlap between Mormon values and Christian values.
And a LOT more overlap between Romney's values and Christian values than what Obama’s preaching. At least Romney is pro-life and pro-family some of the time. And we KNOW that Obama is anti-life and anti-family ALL the time.
There are NO Christian candidates running for President this election that have even a .001% chance of victory. Unless things have changed, even if the Republicans ceased to exist tomorrow, the other candidates on the ballots couldn't even scrape up enough EVs to hit 271, even if they won every state that they were on the ballot in.
Am I going to vote for the guy who I know is going to kill babies, wreck religious liberty, tax us into slavery, and generally be the most anti-Christ scumbag we ever put into office? Especially one who has shown NO respect for the rule of law, and who has shown every intent of ruling by fiat? Or am I going to vote for someone who at least has a few values in common with Christianity and who won't act like a tyrant?
It has to be one or the other. I hate that fact, but it does.

Romney will promote mormon values because that is what he believes.
Romney is not pro-life, we do not know about pro-family but can surmise.
obama is scum, that we do know. I do not beleive him to to THE anti-Christ but he certainly is AN anti-Christ.
Will Romney be better than obama, as a governor (meaning ones who governs), I have no reason to beleive so based on his record of liberalism and a Republican congress may not go against “their” president.
However, never fear, I am registered to vote in California, so my vote for whoever wont matter obama has already bought this state.
As someone who has a huge mormon family, I can tell you they are not what they (as a group/corporation) appear to be. Individually, they may well be all they appear, the foundation of mormonism is not as they portray.
Fire and brimstone is a lost concept in modern christianity and feel good touchy feely everyone gets a trophy in heaven Christianity is now the norm (well actually I’m the ‘Norm’ but that’s another issue ;)
This is one of the reasons I am ‘lapsed’. Not even the Pope takes his faith seriously. It’s ALL go along get along with those who think you are crazy. If you actively stand up for what you believe in, you are a hater and bigot.

I know that much. I had a Mormon girlfriend in school for a while, and my last ex was a Christian in Utah surrounded by Mormons. So I know all about the seedy underside of the Mormon religion and all the creepy stuff that goes on.
Having said that, he’s still the better of two choices at the end of the day.
And at the very worst, watching the offices in DC getting stuffed with Mormons and watching them and the liberals clash endlessly should be good for a few belly laughs.
Fire ‘n’ brimstone has a place in Christian dialogue, but Law and Gospel must always be tempered with each other. Without the Law the Gospel has no power, and without the Gospel, the Law doesn’t do anything but kill.
Over the last year I’ve preached a couple of ‘fire and brimstone’ sermons, and they were always well-received, but they would have been horrible anti-Christian sermons unless I laid just as much emphasis on God’s grace as I did on God’s judgment.
Without Christ and without the grace of God won by him, there is no Christian Church.

What people have trouble deal with is that God’s Word can be offensive to some.
That its God’s Word that holds a mirror to your soul and it is painful, for that sin to be revealed.
You will hear people say “my god doesn’t hate”.
Well, you know what my God does hate, He hates sin.
Yet, He with His Grace provided away for us to be released from that very sin.
Jesus was not tolerant, and He was not touchy feelly, He was compassionate.
He freely gave all for us the undeserving sinner.

I do understand your quandary.
We are on an edge in the US, however one man is driving full speed off the edge the other is running off the edge.
As I have said, I am registered to vote in California so my vote does not matter, I do have the privilege of voting for a conservative for president.
Down the ballot, I will vote the most conservative candidate there.
Let’s see if I can explain my own quandary like this:

Again, it goes back to my point about actual belief. How can a person call themselves a christian while adopting, accepting, excusing and/or promoting non-christian teachings? No, there does not have to be 24/7 prostelyzing about it, but there is little. And when it does rear it’s head, as we see on this and like threads, everyone gets PO’d offended and shocked.
One either believes in the Bible or they do not. It reminds me of the 2nd amendment and liberals. They love the Constitution...except for ......
Many so called christians are exactly the same way. They shy away from things like Leviticus because it’s embarrassing for them. People will think they are some whacked out fundie! How christian is that? That’s cowardice. That’s denying God to his face.
That said and to be clear, I am far from perfect. I do not claim to be God’s personal PR guy. But I can read for myself and I can think logically. And logic tells me that if one has a belief, one will defend it.

This forum was once THE premiere conservative gathering site on the web with a multitude of VERY learned and well respected leaders taking part in the proceedings here but that’s all gone now due to the very same idiots you are wasting your time on.
