[debate moderator] So, Br'r Romney, one of your fellow campaigners suggested just a few days ago that there is 'justifiable rape' ~ kin yo 'splain this?
[candidate Romney] Well, as we've told everyone numerous times, we are not addressing social issues in this campaign.
Romney will have to figure out how to drop Aiken ~ Bwahahahahahhahahaaahhhahahahahaa

First of all, from what I understand from doctors, (pregnancy from rape) is really rare, Akin told KTVI-TV in a clip posted to YouTube by the Democratic super PAC American Bridge. If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.
I don't even know what to say. I would have a hard time voting for somebody this stupid. If Clayton Williams was handing out awards for blowing a political campaign with an idiotic comment about rape, Akin would be first in line.

Knowing WHEN to stop talking is important in politics.
Can't be said enough. Knowing when to stop talking is a tough trait to find in politicians.

The propensity Republican polls have for crapping in their own fox holes never ceases to amaze me. It has not been two weeks since the election and now this...

You were born in 1948? Hope I never get as old as you are.
Women shouldn't discuss their ages, and men shouldn't discuss rape...IMO.

The stress of rape can
keep a woman from conceiving.Nevertheless, rape has been used as a tool of war and of occupation-by-assimilation since time immemorial. Many women do get pregnant via rape; and it is a vicious, permanently life-altering crime that should not be discounted even if the numbers are low. When things were sane, it was punishable by death.

Stupid comment, probably means liberal stooge Claire McCaskill retains her seat.
Is this really the best we could do in Missouri?

Aikin’s been a busy guy shooting himself in the foot. He came out against subsidized school lunches and also called student loans a cancer. McCaskell said she wanted to run against him and it’s obvious why she did. Aikin is about the only person out there who can make Joe Biden look good in the public speaking arena.

What does any MAN know about legitimate rape??
No WOMAN should be discussing politics. Get me a sandwich.

“What does any MAN know about legitimate rape?? They should try it some time.”
Why not ask any man who has spent some time in our jails or prisons.

This Clown wasnt the best Candidate according to other Freepers. He should be forced out, one of the runners ups probably has a better chance as a write in at this point.(meaning next to zero chance)So are you saying that because of this statement we should abort him???

We’ve got an economy in the crapper. That’s what voters want to hear about.

The words “legitimate” and “rape” do not belong together. There is s3x (legitimate) and rape, which is NEVER legitimate. What was that dufus thinking? Unless he/she was misquoted he/she deserves to lose.

The words legitimate and rape do not belong together. While I have never heard the two terms together like that. Would "legitimate rape" mean a "rape", as opposed to someone who cries "rape" after what was really consensual sex???
