Paul Ryan rally from Springfield, Virginia on right now. He's being introduced by Artur Davis, former Dem who introduced Obama in 2008!
The overflow crowd is overflowing the overflow room. :)

Ryan chuckles at ‘no teleprompter’ and says ‘that’s a recurring theme.’
Uh oh. Ryan just talked about how great it was that Romney “reached across the aisle” in Mass.
Crowd was enthusiastic. Ryan was sharp. His voice seemed a bit tired; he has a big speech tomorrow at The Villages in FL. Hope the voice holds out for that. Sure does help that he is young and strong.
Meanwhile Slow Joe is resting in Wilmington!
Much as we conservatives hate that line, it does appeal to the independents and uninformed moderates.
I believe Paul will be having his mom with him tomorrow..looking forward to that...
Well, the fact is that there can be no reform of the reform without bringing some Democrats on=board. ONLY, not too many sensible ones left.
“Crowd was enthusiastic.”
We have friends who live in Virginia and attended this event. We watched the live stream. Ryan was mobbed after the speech.
Is it just me? This link is giving me a bunch of weather forecasts around the country & no audio.
If so it will be HUGE. Not sure how many realize his mom is a senior citizwen on Medicare and lives in Fla. This fact will go a looong way in blunting the attacks Ryan is trying to destroy Medicare because to do so would mean hurting his own mom. Now I realize any of the changes proposed by Ryan DO NOT in any way effect present coverage for anyone currently in the Medicare/Medicaid plans but there are plenty out there who do not know this.
same here
“Is it just me? This link is giving me a bunch of weather forecasts around the country & no audio.” That is all I also got, oh well
“Look Ma! No teleprompter!”
That needs to be magnified, just to show the difference between someone who can speak from his convictions, and someone who can’t be allowed to speak from his convictions.
Actually the woman was the only one that appeared disinterested. The others around her were smiling and clapping at different times. With Arthur Davis intro maybe there were AA’s new to the whole R experience. They don’t have to clap and show excitement, they just have to make themselves open to the ideas Ryan was speaking of.
Maybe she goes back and talking with friends says she’s not sure about this Ryan guy but what he’s talking about makes sense.
We’ll see.
one day soon we will have to drop our secondary ins...
You better get used to seeing more Black Folks, cause you’re going to see more and more. If you stayed tuned after the speech, Paul Ryan crossed back over the room, and, shook hands with “all” the folks that were sitting behind him, including the Black family you referred to. All of this family was thrilled to be shaking hands with Paul Ryan.
Yes......there are Black folks that realize and recognize the severe damage that Obama, his wife, Michelle, the Democrat party, NAACP, the CBC have done to damage Blacks in America. I will admit that their number is few, but with more and more Blacks getting it, that number will increase. Having Artur Davis, Alan West, Tim Scott, Walter Williams, Herman Cain and many more is causing some focused, open minded Blacks to open their eyes and ears to see and listen to an effective path to freedom, liberty, opportunity and the pursuit of happiness in living out the American dream as an equal to all other Americans, rather then remaining forever on the “Obama, NAACP, CBC, and the Democrat Party” economic slave plantation.
And....yes, in my postings, I am very harsh in my treatment of Black Americans, only because i believe they are blind and cannot see their future and children’s future before them, as they stagnant, under the stifling boots of their own chosen, false, power hungry leadership!!! One can only hope!!!
There was a little box off to the right that you clicked and took you out of the weather forecasts. Took me a while to find it...
If you have GAP Ins you may want to consider Medicare Advantage if the GAP premiums become to high.
