Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has sacked the entire leadership of the country's defense establishment.
Among the officials and officers fired are Defense Minister Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, and Chief of Staff Sami Anan.
Morsi appointed Abdul-Fatah al-Sessi as Defense Minister and Lieutenant-General Sidki Sayed Ahmed as Army Chief of Staff. A judge named Mahmoud Mekki was appointed vice president. Morsi also ordered the retirement of the commanders of the navy, air defense and air force. The retired navy commander, Lieutenant-General Mohan Mameesh, was named as chairman of the Suez Canal.
Morsi also cancelled all constitutional changes that gave the military enlarged powers.

I’d say Egypt is long overdue for a coup.

What comes after that...is something I do wish we could help what Christians are still there, to leave & flee from.
But to where? How? I don't know if you are a praying man, but if you are, do as you may best be lead.

In other news the LSM considers unworthy of reporting, Egypt had started striking targets in “Palestine.” No word on who authorized that.
I doubt Morsi would have made the move if there was not already a MB membership in depth among the military, sufficient to preventing a coup.

Nope. I don’t believe they did.
I think that Morsi and Egypt better not get Israel riled. One misstep on their part and Israel could defeat them with a single missile .... a nuke on the Aswan Dam! It would be one of the shortest wars ever.
But it isn’t important to get Obama out of the white house. I don’t know if the US can survive 4 more years but I bet Israel won’t.
The MB may be ideological, but they aren’t that militarily inept.
