I love Paul Ryan, but he REALLY should stay in the House to get this budget thing going once we eliminate the Obamugabe cult in the Senate.

Ryan is a good pick because he is a young conservative from a swing state. If it is the Governor of Virginia you have the same result.

Ryan would be a tactical mistake. It would be a WASTE of his talents. He needs to be budget director or Ways & Means chairman, not going to foreign funerals etc.

agree the media will go after any republican so I can only go on what I know from my place and trust me I like him but we have to look at this not form a position we hold but more of a strategic one and what does he bring.
Knowledge, economy. not his state for sure, even if it did , it;s not much.
So the negatives are, what? rip apart his cuts , Romney needs FL and trust me with so many old people here even republicans they do not like him much and trust him.
This pick does not do anything for social conservatives, not for southerners, not for old people, actually not even FL which we need, not for Hispanics, not for white single women.
He brings fiscal conservatives into play which were to vote for Romeny anyway.

YES! Reagan barely beat Bush and Reagan picked him because of his second place finish, his many supporters, his spectacular resume, and TEXAS! He made Bush voters Reagan voters.

agreed, I know here in north FL many older folks will not be happy with this and they are staunch republicans but don’t trust Ryan and certainly don’t like Rmney.
This is hardly going to get Romney FL of which he needs.
The Romney camp seriously thinks this is just about the economy and it is not here.
The USS Wisconsin smells like misdirection. I am hoping for Ryan but McDonnell makes the most sense to me. Portman would be a disaster for conservatives.

If it was a misdirection, Romney campaign would be trying to tamp down expectations for Ryan to be picked. They aren’t doing that. Ryan would be excellent!

Reports of a small plane landing in Virginia causing new speculation. A very good looking woman with 2 teenage children arrived at a private Virginia airport, the small plane is believed to have come from a small Alaskan village??

If they go with someone young like Ryan at 42 then perhaps it’s better to go with Kelly Ayotte who’s 43 & will bring the female demographic plus none of the medicare crap we are going to hear about endlessly. Just my 2 cents.
