Liars, Damned Liars, and Harry Reid (Dems want to see 10 to 23 years of Romney's taxes. What for?)

Harry Reid wants to see more of Mitt Romney's past income-tax filings. Debbie Wasserman Schultz wants to see 23 years of his taxes. This, from the die-hard supporters of a candidate who will not release his college transcripts or so much more.

I want to know how Barack Obama got into Columbia University for undergraduate school. I want to see his application. Did he seek extra consideration, as did Elizabeth Warren in applying for her academic opportunities, by claiming to be a member of a demographic group favored by affirmative action? I imagine that he did not falsely claim special treatment on a theory of being foreign-born, but I would like to know for sure. It is immaterial where he was born -- I want to know whether he claimed on his applications, as his book publisher later would write about him, that he had overcome the disadvantages of being foreign-born.

What did he write to the dean of admissions of Columbia University about his childhood, his education, his background? Every college-transfer application to Columbia requires that the student write a narrative, tell his story, explain why he deserves a crack at the Ivy League after a brief sojourn at a lesser institution.

I want to know who funded his college education.

Columbia costs an arm and a leg. Did Barack Obama have benefactors, admirers of his youthful promise, paying his way? Did he take loans?

They really are the biggest bypocrites ever, they shout hate and bigots but it is they and their homostapo which show hate and bigotry. The shout freedom but want to run a nanny state but this one is great.

They are like Stalinists in the depth of their hypocrisy and the willingness to lie.

Too bad Mitt neither has the guts or the balls to ask “The Anointed one” to show his paperwork for which he apparently is paying to keep it concealed and then he might give it some thought about showing his. I am quite sure if Mitt would be concealing anything the IRS already would be on his case.

They want tax returns based on an accusations by Reid but ignore that bozo the clown has sealed his records, hell he won’t even show his B/C in GA when the judge ordered him to.

It goes to show that the left knows full well they can say and do anything as they have their left wing media to cover for them

I’m convinced the demands to see more tax returns is to shore up the yet-to-be-played “Mormon card”. The attack dogs need as many years of returns as they can get to sum up and sap the enthusiasm away from voters, particularly evangelicals who may not be enthusiastic about Romney in the first place (may not?) and would be persuaded from volunteering or donating to his campaign because of his faith. If they find something else to smear him with in the process, all the better for them.

Expect a flood of interest in the LDS church by the mainstream media after labor day, paired closely with a coincidental flood of religious cult documentaries and syndication of polygamist show like big love and sister wives.

Very simple to combat the obvious bogus charge of Romney not paying any taxes which is impossible being a CEO of a company based here in America.

Release the tax forms with black out for every line, except use “x”s for the amount paid in. Reid just said that he didn't pay “any” taxes in the past 10 years so the amount is irrelevant. After that then get in front of the cameras and call Reid a lying dumbass.

OK, if Romney did not pay his taxes, then what the heck is the IRS doing? Where’s the prosecution and enforcement?

Harry Reid is a great success....... with the aid of his minions in the media he has completely taken Obama criticism off the table. Every news cycle his lies are the subject of analysis and the public is in a duped state. Obama is not wounded with critical truth.

The fact this thread exists is a victory for the presstitutes and Obama.

The fact they must resort to such meaningless drivel to protect and defend Obama and themselves reveals great truth. There is serious trouble all over Moonbat land. The smell of dooooom permeates their caves. They have nothing of substance to boast about. All they have done is falling apart.

Please Mitt...don’t fall for it...

no matter what kind of trade uncovers, the MSM will not cover anything found in any of Zero’s college records. It will be ignored like it doesn’t exist...

and there are enough people out there who still ONLY get their news from newspapers and MSM television....

my family in Detroit are great examples of that. Everything they know and believe, is spoon fed to them by the MSM TV and the Detroit Free Press.

we could be talking about millions of people, who don’t touch the internet...they vote..but they are uninformed and thus they are ignorant.

I agree: it’s a distraction.

But why doesn’t Romney just say that he’ll release his records when Obama releases his own records. I don’t think obama has ever released his full tax records, not to mention the others - passport, medical, college, etc. This is getting media traction and even my stupid hometown paper had a cartoon today about Romney hiding his taxes.

Romney should have one of his staffers or some other GOP person challenge Reid on that. But Romney was picked to lose, and I guess he doesn’t want to interfere with that. (As you can probably gather, I like Romney little better than Obama.)

What goes around, comes around, Harry. Your next opponent will demand to see YOUR taxes for the last 50 years....................

What makes you think that would happen? They're gutless wonders who are always on the defense and most of the time run for cover when confronted. Look what happened to Michelle Bachmann when she had the guts to question the wisdom of having someone closely connected to the Muslim Brotherhood as a top aide to the U.S. Secretary of State.

Harry Reid is proof positive that the mafia still runs NV as only a criminal enterprise could keep him in power.

Some forensic accountant should look into what Harry owns vs his income. There must be some fancy accounting in his history.

Hyperbole is a move of desperation. It is a gauge of how bad the Dems know their position really is. I think they overestimate how this will help them long term.

Romney is right to not give into their demands. You do not give your enemy an optical win, even given there is nothing untoward in those tax returns. Once you give into one demand, it is a sign of weakness that they will continue to press their advantage by demanding more pointless things to distract from Obama’s economy.

I think this will work out for Romney, so long as he has the guts to hang on. Even though Libs will say this only works in a courtroom, the American people have culturally accepted the notion that the burden of an accusation falls on the accuser. Why do you thing courtroom shows are so popular? That is where people learn their sense of justice. Nothing ticks people off more than a false or unsubstantiated accusation.

If Romney can hold out, within a couple of weeks at most this will blow back onto the Dems, and the stink of it will stick even to Obama, because everyone knows that Reid is just a proxy for Obama.

Axlerod was dancing so fast last Sunday that it was funny to watch. He was trying to move heaven and earth to keep the argument focused on Romney, but nobody was buying it. I think after that show he called the Whitehouse to tell them the strategy is not working and to start backing away immediately.

Exactly. Romney should go ahead and get it out there while the Obamamedia and Reidbama has it a big issue because it would call out everyone who has repeated the obvious false claim the liars they are.
