At least four people were shot just after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, and a police SWAT team entered the building before noon and brought uninjured people out of the building at 7512 S. Howell Ave.
Among those who were shot was the president of the temple.
People were in the temple as early as 6:30 a.m. Sunday and many more were arriving for a service that was to begin about 11:30 a.m.
There were reports that children were taken to the building's basement after shots were fired.
Muslims hate Sikhs (who are a syncretist group).
However, unless this guy was a Chechen or something, it sounds to me like another white nutcase who saw them wearing turbans and thought they were Muslims. Remember a Sikh was killed and others were beaten after 9/11.
I don’t know why, because Muslims generally don’t wear anything that looks remotely like a Sikh turban.
What are the odds that this guy, when caught, turns out to be under some kind of psychiatric care or undiagnosed condition like the last two spree shooters? Of course the timing seems suspicious as well, given the upcoming elections and Democrats’ attempst to scale back conceal carry?
Sikhs were a community formed as a military response against Muslim rule in India and all the Sikh founders were / are Hindus, and Sikhs defended Hindu interests when they were threatened. Sikhism was recognized as a separate religion only recently.
A large proportion of the Indian military is lead by Sikhs.
The animosity you are referring to relates to a Pakistan-funded separatist movement which was quelled by Sikhs themselves.

hey there are white muzzies..but just remember they can call on thier minions at anytime and the UN wants our guns.
We are getting reports that 20 to 30 people have been injured in a shooting before 11 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh Temple, 7512 S. Howell Ave., in Oak Creek.
Two shooters are possibly still inside with children as hostages, according to someone who sent a text message to a Journal Sentinel reporter.
Sikh temples are open to all and most of the visitors are typically Hindus and Westerners, neither of whom have any specific dress code.
I work with a Sikh and he is the most peaceful guy. He doesn’t hate anyone. He does not like Muslims because of the problems they cause but he does not hate Hindus at all. Prayers for the Sikh community.
There are reports that the head priest was locked inside a restroom with a cell phone and said there was as many as 30 victims in temple.
Prayers to all that are injured. Please don’t let the perp be a “Bubba”. The press will have a field day with that.
Sikhs are mistaken for Muzzies quite often, and there have been several fatalities due to this confusion.

Amen! Did it have to get to 28 posts before prayer was called? :-(
