Milwaukee, WI Fresh off a historic upset victory in Texas, Tea Party Express, the nations largest tea party political action committee, proudly announced their endorsement of Mark Neumann (for Senate) today in Milwaukee, WI. Tea Party Express also announced a 3-day bus tour for Neumann next week.
Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer said, We are excited to be here in Wisconsin today to announce our endorsement of Mark Neumann for the U.S. Senate. Mark earned the support of the Tea Party Express, and tea party members from every corner of Wisconsin, because he is the only one with a plan that cuts spending, balances the budget, and repeals ObamaCare. He understands that we must get back to Constitutional principles in Washington. And, he is the one with the proven record of doing all this before.
Neumann understands the free market, job creation, and fiscal responsibility. We cannot continue down the path we are currently on; Neumanns experience and committed pro-growth solutions that enhance individual liberty and responsibility are exactly what we need in the next U.S. Senator from Wisconsin.
Wisconsins yearlong recall battle, which ultimately ended in a massive tea party victory galvanized the movement and created a powerful network that will be decisive in November. Neumann understands the grassroots and is ready to mobilize the vast network that is in place to insure a commanding November victory. We are going to do everything we can to help him secure the nomination and go on to win in November, Kremer concluded.
The organization is attending a series of events throughout the day and the schedule is as follows:
9:30 AM Milwaukee War Memorial
750 N Lincoln Memorial
Milwaukee, WI 53202
12:15 PM Leicht Memorial Park
128 Dousman St.
Green Bay, WI 54303
3:15 PM Wisconsin State Capitol
2 East Main Street
Madison, WI 53703
NP. I’m not voting for either Romney or Thompson...ever!
Sorry, I should have paid attention to the /s symbol...
Lets do what we can to get Neumann in the Senate!
If you do not vote for Romney, you ARE voting for the MARXIST! A third party vote is a vote for ZERO.
I found a lot of stuff on the www to clarify things for the naysayers
Here's just one of them
I met Neumann and his wife at the busiest Walker Victory Center in WI on the TPX tour earlier this year.Wisconsin: Republicans in three-way brawl for Senate nomination
They were helping Walker out and waiting for him to win his contest so he could start his campaign.
He's far and away the best candidate to beat Democratic Rep. Tammy Baldwin, who will probably be the left's pick.
Who is Palin’s horse in this race?
Voting for Obama over Romney is like choosing high speed rail over the freight train, yet they will both get you to the same destination eventually. I’ve held my nose for too many elections and look where it’s gotten us. It is good to be old yet the sadness continues.
Don’t worry, Romney will win easily. Disaffected liberals will flock toward him (if they look at his record), why wouldn’t they?
A vote for Romney is a vote for the GOP to keep running liberals and RINOs.
A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama-lite and Rove will love you for it!
There is another TEa party group endorsing hovde. I don’t see neuman winning.
Two long defeated conservatives are slated for likely 2012 triumphs, Chief Justice Roy Moore of AL and Rep. Steve Stockman of TX. Why not let Mark Neumann join them? The answser: the people of WI were among the original La Follette liberals of the early 20th century and remain so. I know Scott Walker contradicts that line.
I’m sorry but Jack French Kemp was one of the original backtrackers of the conservative cause. Remember how he gushed over Al Gore in their “debate love fest” in 1996? People were so furious about that that they kicked their footstool while watching.
Mark Neumann is no Ted Cruz, but he is closer to the unelectable Sharron Angle, a poorly-chosen Tea Partier with a record of red flags. Neumann served 2 terms in Congress in the ‘90s and could barely hold the same seat that Paul Ryan has easily held (in fact, the only positive thing one could say about Neumann is that he quit so that Ryan could succeed him). He blew the race against Feingold and has seemed desperate to get into high office again as of late. His ugly and ill-advised race against Scott Walker for Governor didn’t improve his standing. There is no particular reason this guy has going for him to elect him. What has he done lately ? Apparently nothing.
Hovde and Fitzgerald are better choices. I’m not a fan of the elderly Thompson (who should’ve run back in the ‘90s for the Senate and been retiring by now), but even he stands a better chance at winning than the divisive Neumann.
Did you think he was?
I made no comparison between the two.
OK fine, you don't like Newmann. No problem.
But prefering Thompson over Newmann?
No to status quo.
Palin’s choice? No one as of yet AFAIK.
New PPP primary poll Hovde 28% TT 25% Neumann 25% Fitzgerald 17%.
Fitz is the most deserving in my opinion but he has consistently polled at the bottom of the GOP field and done the worst in matchups with the Dyke.
Hovde is clearly the leading alternative to TT but it looks like Neumann is still in the picture. DJ though you say Neumann is the weakest candidate?
Poor TT! He could have walked in a Senate nod if ran in 2010 or earlier but he didn’t have the b*lls to run against an incumbent. I hope the next popular Governor who turns down pleas to run for the Senate to wait for an easier race takes heart of this lesson.
Though Hovde has no exp I’m willing to take a flyer on him. Depending of whether or not TT is really a lock in GE. If Hovde would do no worse there is no reason to back TT.
Neumann Never! The local T Party folks are not happy about this. Most of them are supporting Hovde.
Neumann is also a Global Warming/Cap and Trade nut with investments in Ethanol (as is Tommy). Add to that his disgraceful and dishonest campaigns against Scott Walker and Eric Hovde, and he will never get my vote.
FR is always a tough crowd, lol. Just happy to see we’re “fighting” about who is MORE conservative, not less RINO!
Time to take our party back and kick some commie butt!
CT has already been conceded to ZERO
field! With the decisive post. Clarifying the confusion for all reader present.
