Adam Smith, the man who videotaped himself getting free water at a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru just to berate the young woman as been fired.
Smith in his video said he was happy to feel "purposeful" in condemning the Chick-Fil-A employee over CEO Dan Cathy's same-sex-marriage remarks. The video went viral and citizen journalists tracked him down online and grabbed copies of his resume. His employer, Vante, released this statement a bit ago:
Vante of Tucson, AZ Regrets Actions of Former CFO
Employee Has Left the Company TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwire - Aug 2, 2012) - The following is a statement from Vante: Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company.
The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.
We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith's actions against Vante and its employees.

He no longer has his CFO position. Wonder where he will work next. Such a price he has just paid.
So I guess techno-mob rule can be a good thing sometimes.
The man is a nut and should be locked up for public safety.
That was the most expensive cup of water ever!
And he thought he got something for nothing.
Oh, and by the way, Shep Smith should be fired for his ridiculous comments yesterday.
What a queer attitude... by Mr. Smith...
So...what’s the job demand and pay scale for “Purposeful former CFOs”?
[HA HA!]
Adam Smith tried to bully a uninvolved teenage girl, failed miserably, got reamed royally, and has four sons that can aspire to be like him.
Good deal if they really fired him. My guess is he will be back in a week or two when they think no one is still watching.
Guy really is a major tool. Even though he claims he’s not he sure sounds gay, may just be a metrosexual. Either way he needs a good ass kicking. Hopefully someone in AZ will think the same and look him up. Kudos to the girl for keeping her cool when confronted by the far left anal pore.
“Wonder where he will work next.”
I doubt it will be Chick-fil-A ! HAHA!

I a related story, Shemp Smith just signed off with "we'll be here tomorrow. At least someone will be". Sounds like Shemp might have taken the day off for the homosexual Choke-ur-Chicken Day tomorrow.
"maybe he can get a job at ...Chick-fil-a"
“No one pressured Vante. Vante, a private company, made this decision themselves and as a private entity have every right to do so. I support this right. The community didn’t make the decision to fire Smith, they did. This is the difference between the true belief in free speech as demonstrated by conservatives and progressives.”
Not sure I can agree with Dana here. There have been lots of comments on FR that the Vante website was not working most likely due to a huge influx of people expressing their displeasure.
Some do not support Smith’s being fired as he was on his own time, not on company business.
But the cavalier way in which he berated and hounded that young girl offers a mirror into the man’s soul. I doubt this is the first time he treated others, especially those in subservient positions who are complete innocents, in such a cruel way. And then to post it for the world to see - the man is sick.
