As one of the main charms of Fox News’ Studio B With Shepard Smith is that anything can happen, and it usually does. For example, as Smith was tossing to commercial Wednesday afternoon, he took what seemed like a hard shot at former Arkansas Governor and Fox stablemate Mike Huckabee‘s “Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day,” invented to celebrate that restaurant chain’s opposition to marriage equality.

Delivering one of those banal date-related factoids that news shows throw out there every so often, Smith said “It’s National Badminton Day,” then added “forget National Day of Intolerance, let’s just stay with badminton.” Smith has previously express support for marriage equality.

i lost all respect for the man after his coverage of New Orleans after Katrina. He is a blank check—who spouts DNC talking points. This shows it all. He’s a decent newscaster, but I think his format has gotten really tiresome. O’Reilly tried a format tweak and added “The tip of the day”, a really narcissistic nothing....the “eat your peas” segment.

Shep, on the other hand, is blah. I don’t really take what he says seriously even about the news.

I do think he’s right that it was a “day of intolerance”.

The gay rights pukes couldn’t even allow an American citizen to voice his personal opinion without attacking him with their media hounds.

That’s the “intolerance” that reigned and was confronted.

In the meantime, Shep Smith, is a middle of the pack kind of guy. If Fox weren’t propping him up, he’d be reporting on school lunches for some local channel someplace.
