Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.
Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.
St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)
The line goes around the block.
The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.
The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.
The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.
Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.
Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?
If you have more photos please send them in!
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.
Here’s a photo from Texas.
Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!
There was a bomb threat called in to the Chick-fil-A in Martinsburg, WV today. Wonder if that will make the news?
“Called in to say that I gave our local CFA(too far from me) my CC number and authorized them to buy lunch for ten or so military men and women. CHECK.”
Wow, that is a great job Mary!!
Report from Omaha, NE:
Our little Chick-Fil-A “Express”(inside the Mutual of Omaha Bank bldg/The other one is inside the Mutual of Omaha HQ bldg(you have to be an employee to get to it)) actually RAN OUT of FOOD! They had bldg Security out there to tell everyone. Around 10 or so PATHETIC “protestors”.
Has he ever come out of the closet?

It’s always crazy busy here, but even more so today. But, lines around the store are commonplace at CFA here. It’s rare NOT to have that.
I posted this on another thread - 1 1/2 hour wait for my supper at Chick-Fil-A tonight - and I loved every minute of it. Earlier in the day, one of my sons went there for lunch after work at the Y. He used to work at this Chick-Fil-A. Anyway - he had 45-minute wait. Went to one in southern Indiana (metro Louisville).. The place was beyond crowded - lines of people going outside and around the building...lines of cars going out to the street. My husband told me that while in line, the employees were so kind, laughing, having a great time...and a local pizza guy came and delivered pizzas to the employees and said - Its on the house...Love it!!!! Oh - and there were all of 2 protesters out in front...
I went to the CFA in Scottsdale AZ at around 11:30 am. I had to park in a different lot because the cars were all back up. I walked over and saw a line out the door the whole length of the building - in 105 degree heat!
It took about an hour to place an order and then some time to get it delivered. No worries since everyone was in good spirits. The staff was friendly and the place was kept very clean.
I stayed until about 3 pm just watching the people. What was amazing was how they were from all walks of life - young/old and racially mixed (for Scottsdale).
It really brought tears to my eyes and hope for November. The crowds had thinned as I was leaving but it was still a steady stream. God Bless America!!
“on the way home from our Anniversary Dinner just to pick up a couple of chicken sandwiches.”
Why, you little piggies! :-D
Happy anniversary!
Glad to hear from someone in MD - I know Westminster is “red” (their identifier, not mine) but still nice to see.
CFA is the best. Go there on a normal day and watch their incredible service - you can have a jam-packed place and get through there in no time when McD’s would take 30 min. Never mind the great food.
“I dont have CFA near me, so I called up one in Jersey and with my Visa ordered $50 of assorted sandwiches delivered to a nearby senior center. The center sent a car to pick it up.”

Fantastic! Bravo to you for your thoughtful gesture.
I hope the chain opens up something in Canada. :)
btw, this story is all over the news up here, and people are supporting CFA. :)
You, Catherine, are AWESOME! :-D
Pretty funny coming from the “Penn State/Sandusky” town! LOL
Both CFA’s in Longview had amazingly long lines. Drive through line in one extended out onto Loop 281. The other one was the one I went to.....drive-through went a full loop around the restaurant and had people coming in from two directions, they were parking in the Wal Mart parking lot and walking over. There was a line 20 to 30 deep standing outside and they were only letting people in as others left! And as you know, these folks were standing in 100 degree heat.
They were out of the spicy chicken sandwiches and all deserts. This was about 6:15 so they still had 3+ hours to go. The most amazing thing though was how cheerful and polite the kids working there were under such trying circumstances.
It was a great thing to behold.
Hank
OH absolutely, there is now a bull’s eye on CFA and especially the Cathy family.
They are heroes in my eyes.
The line for the drive through wrapped around the building and out onto Route 30 East.
surroundedbyblue stopped in the Monroeville PA Chick Fil A for dinner, here's the line behind her:
The line ahead of her was longer.
gotta concur
gonna beat em like a drum...
Our only Chik-Fil-A in Topeka, Kansas is in the West Ridge Mall. The line zig-zagged all through the mall food court at 7:15P.M. local time and somebody said the they were nearly out of everything in the store! Every bit of food was nearly gone. The line had been like this all day long from local media reports. I saw more people in line for Chik-Fil-A than shopping in the stores.
Effing A.
