Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.
Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.
St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)
The line goes around the block.
The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.
The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.
The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.
Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.
Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?
If you have more photos please send them in!
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.
Here’s a photo from Texas.
Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!
Bought 3 bags full of Chick-fil-a, no cooking tonight!
Proudly sat my bags on the dash for the ride home.
Customers outnumbered protesters 300 to 1.
Oops looks like rain here in Virginia!
No..I just cant fight the crowds
May I just say, this isn’t the usual “crowd.” Trust me, I don’t like crowds either. I cringed when I saw how many were in the CFA we went to for lunch. HOWEVER,,,,this group,,these people are happy to be there, happy to wait,,,in a great mood, upbeat, positive,,clear on their mission and thrilled to be making a statement and a difference. The attitude where I was was festive, and almost party-like...trust me,,it’s not your usual crowd
Bet the few homos making out will get far, far more coverage than what happened today.
Well, if they run out of food, then the Appreciation Day was a massive success, right?
I can hardly wait to go to Mesa again, so I can eat at CFA!
I think you know.
I was afraid of that (got VERY lucky). If it's THAT long, might I suggest going on line and buying gift cards?
Good outta you and your wife!
THAT would be a treat..My back hates for me to have fun...amd rebels.
;o)
Good question. I'm sure that Mitt's gonna wait until every Republican of national stature has eaten there first, then he'll swoop in to a Chik-fil-A with camera crew in tow.
Gotta get the polls on this thing first, don'tchaknow.
So let’s pack the CFAs on Friday, too. That way there won’t be room for fairies to get in the door, let alone slobber their sins all over the place.
Can you imagine how intimidating that will be to them? All those straight folks? BWA-HA-Hahahahahah!
To my mind, a man's heart has no differentiating pigmentation. I am no doctor, but i doubt a brain has it either. Anyway it doesn't really matter, things like that are just tools that dividers will forever seek to exploit. I would welcome any American brother or sister to the Tea Party. Even Gingers. ;-p
I got my Chick-Fil-A sammy and TWO peach milkshakes - one for me and one for Mom. The store in Matthews near Charlotte, NC was PACKED and it was after 3:00! A woman standing next to me said she came by at noon and the cars were stretched out a half mile down Independence Blvd. waiting to turn in. Two lines of cars were snaking around the drive-thru and the dining area was full. Even at 3:00 there were six lines, twelve people deep at the counter. The food was just as good as always, quick and friendly employees that made sure everyone was being served and got what they ordered. STILL my favorite fast food place.
If I knew I would not have asked. So please answer the question.
I hope The Ballerina Emmanuel and the Boston Mayor and ALL the other libs are getting inundated with tweets/pics of CFA Appreciation Day...since LSM will NOT cover this rebellion.
And not a news truck to be found anywhere.
You can also get a chicken salad cup (the filling from the chicken salad sandwich). All the ingredients are chopped fine. It’s listed under the side items.
OUTSTANDING!!!
Don’t know what point you were trying to make there, but I think it backfired.
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Northlake Road mobbed today at 3:00 PM. Would not go at Breakfast, Lunch & Supper times because the place was just full to capacity. All types of folks there. Service took about about 30 minutes. Folks were just having a ball. People, young, old, in-between, Black, White, Oriental, Hispanic, etc., all getting along just fine. Kiddies, moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas doing their thing as families. Hope for America, yet!!!
Obama & Democrat low life, Phooey!!! ABO!!!
The attitude where I was was festive, and almost party-like...trust me,,its not your usual crowdYou are so right! After one man got into the restaurant after being in the 60 or so deep line, and came out with his order on the other side of the door, several clapped and cheered with glee. It was great fun indeed!
