The drive-through line was already wrapped around the entire building, and we had to park about four sections out (technically in the next restaurant's over parking lot - it's all a shared parking area) just to find a place to park. When we got into the store, the place was PACKED OUT. I have never seen this restaurant this busy, even at the height of the lunch rush (~1230). The line with five registers running was still all the way out to the entrance. We stood in line for 5-7 minutes to be able to order.
Yet, even with them taking names for your order to play catch up, they still got our food to us in under five minutes. Tons of people making a political statement, and they STILL operated efficiently and professionally. Kudos to Chick-fil-A!
Lots of Durham city and county personnel taking in the food - Fire-Rescue, prison system personnel, Durham Co. Sheriff, even en entire ten-man Durham PD SET team (like SWAT) - only a fool would have tried to rob that store today! Apparently not everybody in the Durham government apparatus has the same views as the left-wing nuts like the mayor and city council members.
When we left the store at 1145, the line was still out the door, and the line for the drive thru was still wrapped around the building. Traffic was so thick people were having trouble getting out of the parking lot for the press.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
"Hundreds of people coming from miles around to buy chicken sandwiches and waffle fries in support of Chick-fil-A turned the chicken chains Orland Park restaurant into a giant gathering for advocates of free speech and traditional marriage Wednesday."
Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers location packed outside and in. Had trouble getting in and out, but was worth it.
I was surprised at how quick and efficiently the employees were getting the orders out. Despite the crowds, my order was near instant.
Also, I was reminded why I had started going there long before it was “cool.” Great food, excellent service in a clean and friendly environment.
My coworkers were unable to buy their planned lunch at 11:45, because the streets were backed up over two blocks, police were directing traffic, and a news crew was on site.
They said they would try for dinner. I think the store will have run out of food by then....
Post your Chick-Fil-A after action reports HERE!
Pull a left tactic. If anyone was spat upon by left wing radicals report it here.
One thing here. Even with the muslim Marxist’s beliefs that he will be re-elected by a landslide....well, maybe the demon will, but this has cause for wondering.
Around 6:15 PM our son took his family of six over for dinner, and to support the restaurant. He couldn't even get close to getting in, so they had to settle for a totally lousy meal at the WalMart McDonald's, where they got lousy food and the order completely screwed up (not that there was any crowd there, or anything like that).
The line for the CFA drive up window went completely around the CFA parking lot, out the frontage road about 150 yards, across the main highway, and was backed up into the car-wash on the other side of that highway. Meanwhile, the line just to get into CFA and park was backed up all the way to the Interstate, about 1/2 mile. People were standing lined up outside completely around the building, just waiting to get in. Many, many (I think he said "hundreds") were just sitting around on the large grass areas outside either waiting or eating. The place was totally jammed, as our daughter said when she passed by earlier around 4:30.
It was such a happy mob scene, one would have thought the town had finally brought back public hangings for murderers, child molesters, horse thieves, and Liberals (but, I repeat myself)!
The Red lines represent cars queuing around the Chick-Fil-A. The Blue line represents the people physically waiting in line to go inside and order, and the yellow line is the Columbus Police-controlled traffic at a major intersection that was obviously clogging up opposing traffic when the left-turners encountered the static cars on the side street. Pretty amazing.
I would venture to say the occupants of those lines are 90%+ Obama Must Go voters, right?
We got to the Trooper, PA. Chik-Fil-A at about 12:30 and had to wait two cycles of the traffic light to make the lefthand turn into the shopping center. The drive-thru line wrapped around the building and the restaurant was packed, and they were a-hustlin’! I don’t think we waited more than ten minutes to place our order, and less than a minute to get our food. In spite of the heavy traffic, the place was immaculate and the staff was cheerful and happy to serve.
We parked a little way out from the restaurant near a huge semi - which turned out to be the resupplier: every couple of minutes, the manager sprinted out to the truck to get more supplies.
As we left, we were interviewed by a reporter from the local paper, and he seemed sort of stunned by the whole experience. I think he was nonplussed by the jolly atmosphere.
By the time we left, the lines inside had pretty much thinned out (a lot of the business crowd had to get back to work), but the drive-thru was still unabated.
Reports from friends on the road now indicate that the real surge may be happening tonight!
Westside Albuquerque, NM
515pm- walked in, 535pm walked out. Long lines thru the doors and drive up. More people coming in on foot and in cars. People were in a good mood even though it was packed. The staff were courteous and on top of everything.
Who knew conservative values were so tasty?
Cost for a chicken meal -ten bucks ( i got extras)
Making a political statement- priceless.
Foothill Ranch CA was running out of food by the time I got there at 1:00pm, even though they ordered an extra TRUCKLOAD for the week. I asked a cop there “pretty busy day, for you, eh?”. “Not for me, I just sent two cars back to patrol duty, because it’s been so peaceful”. No rapes, no assaults, no OD’s, just ordinary folks behaving themselves. Be sure to tune into the MSM tonight, for a full report/S.
Got to CFA around 8:20 PM. Took less than 5 minutes to get through the drive through, but just about every parking space was fill and there were a lot of people at tables, both inside and out.
When I got to the intercom and the girl asked May I help you? I channeled up my inner Pavarotti and sang...
God bless America
And Chick Fillet.
I stand beside her
and order
A Spicy Chicken Sandwich, coleslaw, fries and a Peach Shake
Unbenonced to me, a couple folks were just outside my open car window, which gave me a start when they spoke to me...
Wow, for that, they ought to give you two!
When I got to the pickup window, they were out of Spicy Chicken, so I said no problem, I’ll take a plain old Chicken Sandwich, and asked for a half dozen cookies, whence I learned they were all out of those I asked for a brownie. The girl said that those were out, somebody else informed her that they had some in the back. As I had already paid, I asked what I owed and she said,
Nothing.
Even at the end of what I’m sure was a most brutal day, my server was nothing but cheerful and upbeat.
Thanks, Chick-fil-A.
Coral Ridge mall in Iowa City, line of about 100 at 5:30 pm.
