Today is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, an event semi-organized by Mike Huckabee in response to the Gay Mafia's attempt to browbeat a private citizen into silence, all because he stood up for something he believed in. Mumbles Menino and Rahmbo can kiss moral America's collective butt if the response in other Chick-fil-A restaurants is even remotely similar to what I saw just a few minutes ago at our local one. The place is being overwhelmed!! I told the manager why we were here and, after thanking us, he said that there was no way he could have prepared for such a massive influx of customers. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they ran out of food today.
Drudge had a link to a story and then it quickly disappeared. Maybe Matt’s minions didn’t follow his instructions.
Finally! Some real. honest coverage.
Thanks! (I've been watching FNC off and on, but can't catch every second).
Fox News just showed a picture of a Houston CFA. People were lined up around the store and long lines of cars for drive thru.
Another report from the “Non Bible Belt”...here in the “Rust Belt” (east of Pittsburgh) the Hempfield Plaza CFA (WalMart Plaza, US Rt30) was PACKED and the adjoining WalMart/Bed Bath Beyond parking lots were packed...no spaces. CFA patrons lined up out the door. Will try to visit later to $how my support!
looks like the CFA website is being hammered, no response and it timed out!!
Really, I thought it was about the male homosexual obsession with coprophilic behavior. Will they engage in rimming in the bathrooms—one of their favorite pasttimes?
tried to go to the store in Cookeville, TN, but the line was 200 yards long (cars) in both directions.
I bought about 40 gifts cards yesterday to use as teacher appreciation gifts for the Sunday School teachers. I went yesterday because I knew it would be jammed packed today and I didn’t want to take up the cashier’s time waiting on me. As it was, they had to raid the safe to get the cards and the envelopes to go with them. Glad I went yesterday. I may go on Friday for one of those peach shakes. :)
Good Grief! And there is no Chick Fil A around me so I can not even get in a line.
wait a while.. the line will come to you.
Would that be called a Lick-Fil-A or a Lick-In?
hahahahahaha... I love it!
I shared a table with 2 workers from the county the store was in (I assume. they both said they worked at the county office)
There are conservatives EVERYWHERE.. :)
This one is going back on Friday.
No... PDA’s are not always welcome regardless of the sex of the participants..
I plan on bringing a large cardboard sign, painted black with “CENSORED” in large white letters.
Just stand between the “kissers” and the press with your sign.
Be prepared to move around a bit ;)
Just got back from the mall in Early, Texas. The Chick-fil-A has no drive in window. The parking lot looked like Christmas! I mean PACKED! I only have an hour for lunch & drove 17 miles to get there, but I had to take a few pics inside. The store was packed, there were tables set up OUTSIDE the store in the mall and the line was standing outside the store a good 80 to 100 ft. I talked to the last girl in the line. She had 2 little ones and a baby in a stroller. She said she just broke her toe at the gym & it hurt like heck, but she had to be there and that it was time for us ALL to take a stand! AWESOME!! :)
I am the one with the CFA stainless steel water bottle. It’s their color orange with gray. Says, “Spicy Chicken Relief” with their logo under that. It’s a quality water bottle for $14.95, and I always carry water with me so I’m carrying CFA whenever I leave my house. Go to their website and their store is there.
Arrived early at 11:10am. The CFA lot was full and parking spilled over into The Rooms Store's lot (they don't need any spaces), and I found one. So, you see 12 rows of parking with approximately 20 spaces long, with only a couple open before the regular lunch crowd shows up in about an hour. My estimate of the crowd inside and lined up outside and in the drive thru was approximately 850-1000 well before noon.
A feller called for a round of applause inside and the crowd fervently obliged. Blushing from the staff was noted. BTW, they handled the extraordinary volume tremendously-- with good cheer and remarkably orderly and speedy delivery of the orders. Staff was running round with utmost urgency; they have had stellar training and mgt! The eager patrons were also affable and not bothered by the delays or lack of seating/parking. During college I worked at Chili's and on a good Friday night we'd sell $30k worth of food and alcohol. I bet this store beats that today with ease. And pleasure.
The drive thru queue is shown here at about the mid point, around 40-50 cars in line backed up onto the access road.
An outside-the-store shot taken on the move so it's a little blurry. Note Arlington's finest outside directing traffic...was a small show of force outside the restaurant, but it was low key.
Alas, I encountered no protesters and this was my only regret, and which I found a little queer.
Some pics taken inside but they didn't turn out very well/not posting unless there is some kind of uproar.
For inquiring minds: I had a Deluxe Chicken Sandwich with Cheese and Cole Slaw with Double Fries and a Peach Shake topped off with whip cream and a cherry...
40 gift cards-—good for you! I’m thinking it might be a good idea to go back on Friday, since the homosexuals are having their “kiss in.”
Please do! I will be getting a peach shake and some nuggets back home in VA tonite.
