Elizabeth Warren Ad: Let's Be More Like China Michael Warren August 1, 2012 8:00 AM

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has a new ad running on Massachusetts television praising the Chinese government's investment in public works projects. The ad encourages the United States to follow the lead of the Asian Communist country and "do better." Watch the ad below, courtesy of the New York Sun:

"We've got bridges and roads in need of repair and thousands of people in need of work. Why aren’t we rebuilding America?” Warren says in the 30-second ad. “Our competitors are putting people to work, building a future. China invests 9 percent of its GDP in infrastructure. America? We’re at just 2.4 percent. We can do better. We can build a foundation for a strong new economy and get people to Massachusetts to work right now."

Here’s a crazy idea. How bout we stop funneling highway funds off for every other marginally transportation related project in the country. If people want bike paths and parking area rain gardens, let them pay for them themselves. If they want to ride public transportation, let them pay the full cost themselves.

No shock that Red Lizzie thinks this but who could be stupid enough to air that concern? Even in liberal Mass this won’t go over well.

The next time anyone wants to rant and rave about how horrible that RINO Scott Brown is and how he needs to be defeated to keep RINOs out of the GOP, remember that this smug, arrogant, flamming Communist is the alternative, not some Tea Party patriot with a 100% ACU rating.

SHANGHAI (AP) - China's manufacturing barely grew in July and analysts said weakening export demand pointed to the need for more efforts to revive growth.

"We've got bridges and roads in need of repair and thousands of people in need of work. Why aren’t we rebuilding America?”

I thought that was what the stimulus was for.

...praising the Chinese government's investment in public works projects..

Sounds good until all those new Chinese condos, high-speed trains, and bridges collapse due to poor and corrupt construction. Their high-speed train has already had one huge crash, one reporter said that buyers of Chinese condos expect their units to last only a few years, and engineers say that corruption, poor quality materials, and bad design will lead to several new, large bridges collapsing in the next big quake (including one the Chinese built in the US).

I have seen this ad multiple times being aired during the olympics during prime time on the Boston NBC station. It shows Warren with all these hard hatted construction union guys. Mostly iron workers, or actors pretending to be iron workers.

It compares GDP spent by the US with GDP spent by China on infrastructure projects like bridges, etc.

It closes with the statement “lets get America working”.

It is such a classic ad pandering to the union, it is humorous.

On the other hand, Scott Brown has an ad with former DEMOCRATIC mayor of Boston and former DEMOCRATIC ambassador to the Vatican Ray Flynn. He was very popular man of the people guy prior to Mumbles Manenio.

One difference is that in China, all the money flows through the government whereas in this country some still flows through the private sector although O and his minions want that to change. Another difference is that China is building weird cities where no one wants to live. Just so they can show them off. Very odd.

"We've got bridges and roads in need of repair and thousands of people in need of work. Why aren’t we rebuilding America?”

In Massachusetts there are two seasons....Winter and Construction. Millions of Stimulus Money poured into the state - roads that didn't need repaving were repaved - sidewalks that didn't need replacing were replaced....pretty deco lighting and fountains popped up everywhere - like the last depression - busy work.

This state, like many, is known as the construction-state....every spring workers pop up and repair roads that were repaired the year before.....many bridges that need repair- haven't... because of government bureaucracy and union bidding....and apparently you need to 'study' the disrepair for years before action.

You’d be surprised. Scratch a liberal, find a totalitarian.

Where do we sign up for the road gang? Or do we get assigned? Or maybe it’s just for enemies, such as Catholic bishops, Christians in general, practicing Jews...

China is a country built on slave and prison labor. But that’s fine with liberals, because they know they’re always going to be on the left side of things and they’ll be the ones checking off the falsified productivity quotients and sending their enemies off to death.
