Romney now in a London Olympics controversy
Libertarian Party Platform ^ | 7/26/2012 | Patriot

There are a few things presidential candidates shouldn’t do when they travel abroad, 1) Don’t bash the president, 2) don’t apologize for America, and 3) don’t insult the host country.

Obama is an American apologist. Romney knows not to do the first two; but did Romney insult the host country? On Wednesday in a NBC interview when he said "“There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials".

So which is worse? Obama's apologie's or Romney's insult? My vote is that Romney's insult is dwarfted by Obama's going around the world apologizing for our great country (Imperialism as he would call it).

To thoroughly understand Obama's American perspective you've got to see the movie ’2016: Obama’s America’. It was the third highest grossing film at the box office this weekend.

Can somebody tell me what Romney has said to insult the British?

I’ve seen headlines from the liberal media but do not read their stories.

““There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials”.

Whatever else you can say about the guy, please. He was sitting as a guy with Olympic experience, being asked about how it looked like London was doing. Anyone who reads the news would express the same concerns. And it was done in a polite matter of fact manner, not rudely. Pleanty of things not to like Romney for, but this ain’t it.

The 3rd highest grossing movie was Spider-man. This isn’t even on the charts.

What are you talking about?

’2016: Obama’s America’ hasn’t “grossed” a nickel yet!

It releases on the 27th!

How could Romney commit such a gaffe?

I just don’t understand.

It would haved been better for Romney to say “the British people stood alone against the Nazi war machine in the early years of World War II. Whatever problems the Olympics present, they can handle.”

Nothing!

He said it was disconcerting that a private security firm was unable to staff up for the Olympics.

That’s not an “insult”!

I doubt that, or why would our local radio station be having to take donations to get it shown in other cities?

Got some kind of backup for that claim?

The quote is posted above. He said exactly what the British government has said that they have addressed and what the world media is reporting. He stated the reality of the situation. He did nothing wrong and I am no mitt romney supporter. This is just axledick calling in a favor.

“1) Don’t bash the president, 2) don’t apologize for America”

Obama made that obsolete. Romney can say anything he wants about Obama overseas and i’m fine with it. Obama sided with the Mexican government against Arizona. As a candidate, Obama struck deals with Iraqis aganst Bush. And worst of all, told Medvedev that he would do the things they wanted, but they needed to give him “space” so he could sneak it by his citizenry, which he knew would oppose it.

No lectures from Barry about “the waters edge”, or of acceptable behavior overseas.

Give them time, they haven’t made that part up yet.

That was then, this is now.

I don’t think either America or Britain could do what they did then now.
