'I'm not protecting anyone that made my life a living hell': Teen faces jail time after lashing out on Twitter and naming the boys who sexually assaulted her.
17-year-old sexual assault victim is facing a jail sentence for tweeting the names of her attackers in anger at their light punishment.
Savannah Dietrich named and shamed the boys on the social messaging site, writing: 'There you go, lock me up. I'm not protecting anyone that made my life a living Hell.'
The Louisville, Kentucky teen told The Courier-Journal she was frustrated by what she feels is a lenient deal for her attackers.

Once again, it's what lawyers call "legal fiction" which has no place outside the courtroom and does not define our reality as you and so many others insist! It does not, you hear?!
The American legal system is about itself and nothing else, you peasants! Bow your heads before it!
What trial? They pleaded guilty. The boys are just lucky that I’m not the girls father. If I was, they’d be begging for a long sentence to keep them safe.
Good for the gal. I am behind her all the way on this nonsense.
Speaking out is part of the healing process. A rape victim should never be ordered to keep silent.
Screw that damn judge. Hopefully, he/she will dismiss the charge and perhaps she will pay court costs... around $100.
Well ain't that just a damn shame?
Not only were there pictures but the “boys” showed them around. She didn’t know how many people saw them...so why are the “boys” ashamed now...they were proud enough to show how manly they were raping a passed out young woman.
The victim should not be ordered to shut up about rape or any other crime comitted against them.
The judge should keep the police records and reporters gagged, but not the victim. The victim should be able to speak freely about what happened to her, including who was involved. This is especially so in this case given the boys took pictures of her and passed them around.
The other thing that is distrubing though, is that young people think there is and should be no dark consequences that come with over drinking and drugging. Substance abuse comes with natural consequences and being the victim of criminals is one of them. For girls that is often rape but now that we have homosexualized and totally sexually perverted the youth culture, it will come with the anal rape of boys and girls, too.
I support her decision and IMHO, it is therapeutic for her too !
What would your view point be if it had been a young man that these two boys assaulted, photographed and then passed them around?
Would it be any different?
Or should raping a person who can't fight back and who did not consent be regarded as saying "howdy"?
These are times when you just have to say, "the law is an a**" and ignore it.
Every older brother who has whopped the living daylights out of some twit that was picking on their younger siblings knows this.
It isn't a free pass. You have to face the consequences of what you did but usually most people understand why you did it.
You’re going to actually use that as an excuse.. “The boys didn’t know better.”...Seriously?
“Youre going to actually use that as an excuse.. The boys didnt know better....Seriously?”
You might want to read my posting a bit closer. There were 61 posts ahead of yours and not one of them saw that angle.
Yes, I did read your post a bit better, but still the statement about the “boys” sounded like you were saying they shouldn’t be blamed because they just didn’t know better.
Maybe the wording threw me off, our maybe it was the half dozen other posts that had me seeing red (not yours by the way).
Made a mistake, sorry.
I knew when I was a boy/young man that having sex with a woman who was unconscious was wrong. Chalk it up to my parents raising me right.
Where did you go wrong in your upbringing that you consider not raping someone a “lesson learned”.
It sounds like the plea agreement was with the young men NOT their victim, at least not without her approval.
She's free indeed to express her outrage and give tit for tat exposing their abusive behavior for other young women to beware.
Sounds like a Mason letting a brother Mason(kids) off the hook...
They are known to do that... meaning the Judge..
No prob. I was worried a bit using the term “boys”, but I thought it fit in context of explaining that system.
I also can see why you’re spun-up with some of the other posts. Heck, for all we know, she had three beers, and the third one was drugged - and if that’s the case, would it still be “her fault” to those people?
